why? I don't really love his character either but just wondering your opinion on it
He should die because he's an irrelevant character whose personality and motives change on a season by season basis.

I dont think he's too bad, He was best in seasons 3 and 4, they had a good idea for Quinn in season 5 but it was executed awful, and after 6 his character is a vast improvement as he's actually contributing to the plot this season
I get the feeling the next three are going to be really shit.
Aww, turns out that spoiler bit from a couple weeks back is wrong.
[sp]No table scene for Isaak. Though I was expecting Hannah getting stabbed to lead to a reveal of her being pregnant.
Still a pretty lame way for him to go out.[/sp]
wtf [sp]why did they kill off the main villain for the season so early? are the rest gonna focus on the pyromaniac dude? i swear to god it better be someone we already know and a big surprise otherwise what a stupid fuckin thing ti do.[/sp]
[sp]watch it be that quirky and offbeat arson investigator[/sp]
and the season starts going downhill
damnit
[sp]the arsonist is doakes who actually survived being blown up and got fire superpowers[/sp]
Everyone is Doakes.
Is it just me or [sp]is there a connection between the name "Bobby" on the elevator and the fact that they're getting the actor who plays Bobby in Supernatural for next weeks episode of Dexter?[/sp]
If not, that sure is one hell of a coincidence.
[sp]This was a really weird way to end the main story that this season has been about. It really could have been done better. I guess we still have Quinn's involvement with the brotherhood to keep them in the show, I just, hmph.
It seems to me the pyro killer is going to be a catalyst for the next season, I hope they don't focus too much on that straight away, it just seems rushed like the writers changed their mind about the season.
I wonder if Matthews is still going to look after Dexter now that he is "working" with LaGuerta.[/sp]
[sp]Did Dexter never explain to Deb that the writer Hannah murdered was also a murderer himself? I don't remember him elaborating on that at all and I feel like it would have made it a lot easier to persuade her not to be so stiff about the whole thing. Not that I'm exactly rooting for Dexter and Hannah's cringeworthy relationship. Maybe he did explain that though and it was just unmemorable because all Deb cares about is jumping her step-brother's bones after she learns that he's a murderer. [/sp]
[sp]Why is Isaak dead already, why did this happen, this episode sucked total dick man wow[/sp]
Because they're fucking and she's hot?
MANLY MAN THINGS
I thought the whole point of Dexter was that he didn't really give a shit about any of it, because he's a complete psychopath
[editline]26th November 2012[/editline]
That's what the earlier seasons showed any way
[sp]So they kill off the one character making this season worth watching after destroying his character (By making him forget about Dexter having killed his beloved if he helped him kill those two guys), while introducing a new villain we don't give a shit about?
Fucking hell, Isaak was the one likable character this show has had in a long time.[/sp]
[sp]As much as I love Isaak as a character in this season I kinda like the idea of having him dying in a unpredictable way. Since everyone thought he was the season's villain it made people predict what would happen on the season finale as being on the table with a little cliff hanger at the end like the last 6 seasons. At least the awesome character's end was a lot more special and different than other villains rather than just being stabbed in the chest on Dexter's table. The only thing I dislike about him dying is how early it is, they could have had him die in episode 11-12[/sp]
I enjoyed the episode. Glad it wasnt dexter [sp]that killed isaak[/sp] for a change.

[sp]Wasn't that just something Dex came up with in order to blackmail him, because it actually seemed plausable?[/sp]
[sp]Wasn't that just something Dex came up with in order to blackmail him, because it actually seemed plausable?[/sp]
[sp]Oh, did he actually make that up? For some reason by the way the guy reacted I assumed that Dexter had got him figured out. I was probably jumping to conclusions though, the way he reacted would've also been reasonable if Dexter was just plausibly blackmailing him, and that would have been terribly convenient for that to just be true. [/sp]
that smarmy fire cunt dude giving all them looks across the preview for the next episode
give the whole new crappy late-mid-season plot away much. Its either definitely him, or a scapegoat to make you think its him because its fucking Astor or something.
joey quinn please kill that guy and spice up the story
[sp] So I finished watching the episode...
Honestly, I think the writers changed something last minute. The whole episode was poorly made.
Issak comes to Dexter for help using Dexter's one dimensional girlfriend as leverage. So Dexter agrees to help Issak... but his task is to kill two scrub assassins? That's it?
Five minutes after accepting Dexter kills one in plain daylight.
The "im going 2 lure him" "r u sure u want to be bait?" "yea ok" "ok bring him 2 the dock" scene was an absolute joke.
The scene where George shoots Issak was equally awful. Zero dialogue and zero build up.
"I can take u to the doctor, you just got shot in the lower abdomen, its not a big deal."
"no dexter, i need you to take me to the ocean where i can have an awkward and forced talk with you about love. and then after that i will pass away peacefully"
Killing Issak off this early was a waste of a perfectly good undeveloped character with great potential.[/sp]
[sp] Predicting Laquerta thinks Deb is the Bay Harbour Butcher and then we'll have an intense season 8 where Deb has to decide whether or not to rat out Dex or something. Maybe. Maybe not. Would be interesting though. [/sp]

At this point she thinks anybody can be one just not Doakes.
to be fair
who didn't love doakes
At this point she thinks anybody can be one just not Doakes.
It seems obvious to me she's clinching down on Dex
yeah for reals shes never gonna suspect deb over the possibility of dexter even though she wants dexters dick and always has
yeah for reals shes never gonna suspect deb over the possibility of dexter even though she wants dexters dick and always has
I thought she only did during the first season?
I thought she only did during the first season?
she just doesnt see him as much anymore. but she still wants it.
she cant resist
[editline]27th November 2012[/editline]
Doakes should start appearing to Laquerta similar to how Harry appears to Dexter
