For me the episode felt kind of all over the place.[sp]I just hope Hannah is gone for good. And the scenes with Doakes made little sense considering season 1, where Doakes wouldn't just let Dexter go after saying that quote and Dexter wouldn't say it in the first place. The stupid current Dexter would though.[/sp]
All the appearances of [sp]Doakes[/sp] were boring and served literally no point in the plot besides fan service.
Season 6 was the worst season of Dexter yet. Followed by 5.
Season 6 wasn't that bad I felt, it was a bit dark, even for Dexter, but it was kinda fresh after season 5 I felt. Jordan Chase was a shit villain and Lumen was an even worse character.

Shame, old Dexter would never try to be that human and stupid, to quote that shit. That was a completely useless waste of Doakes, admit that.[/sp] Ending was horrible and predictable, the only good thing is that it was [sp]more or less a paraphrase of first book ending. Like a little wink for those who read it.[/sp] Am I the only one surprised how [sp]Quinn convincingly forgot how he thought that Dexter was a murder. But with writers like this it was rather obvious.[/sp]
What a shitty ending imho, there are quite some complications: [sp]"Everything she said was true, do the right thing, Deb." Yet she shoots LaGuerta, forced by Dex into it. A right thing would have also been killing Dex, but whatever there were 2 "right" things to do, anyway.[/sp] [sp]LaGuerta was not killed by Estrada's gun, or does that even matter? I suppose it should matter when the bodies are found and examined.[/sp]
[sp]Next season: Batista is angered by LaGuerta's death, joins the force again and goes after the BHB.[/sp]

[sp]"Shoot him!" Why would she say that? I thought she was a cop.[/sp]
[sp]"Shoot him!" Why would she say that? I thought she was a cop.[/sp]
Because by him being the BHB, and her thinking Doakes died by him, she'd want him to die for killing off her friend/ex-lover? Also, he did drug her and plan to kill her. That could've done it for her.
Overall I enjoyed it but I was still rather disappointed by certain parts. [sp] First off I really wanted LaGuerta to end up on Dexter's table wrapped in plastic, and for them to have a conversation, and for her to finally realize how deep she got herself into. LaGuerta not expecting a trap is one thing, but turning up to the shipping docks without any backup was beyond stupid. Hannah actually admitting to poisoning Deb, the way she did was poorly done. Quinn forgot all about his investigation of Dexter with Liddy, even when LaGuerta told everybody that Dexter was a killer. Deb fucking up Dex's plan for some reason by doing the "right thing", would it have been so much harder to just leave the shipping container instead of shooting?[/sp] Anyway, I am still watching the series, so that is saying something, and I am definitely not stopping so close to the end.
[sp]"Shoot him!" Why would she say that? I thought she was a cop.[/sp]
uh her life was in danger
I enjoyed the ending: [sp]Deb's facial expressions made it look like she was going to implode. Some fucking good acting on her part. Hannah is probably going to end up on a table if she returns next season...[/sp]
the season finale was awesome. best since season 2 imo.
this episode created a plot hole every 5 minutes

She's got some weird facial expressions. [/sp]
Not going to lie I thought the finale was pretty shit
Not going to lie I thought the finale was pretty shit
i'm going to have to agree
It could of been handled better... More Dexter-like. I don't understand the writers, they leave plot holes open, don't cover them, all for an ending that isn't that good to begin with.
Hopefully the final season won't have plot holes that will never be filled up. But I get the idea that it might end up that way unfortunately. Hopefully the writers will prove me wrong and show they just got tired for the past 3 seasons and they had the last season planned out and it will blow our minds.
[sp]wish they didn't kill LaGuerta!!!![/sp]
Surprise motherfucker!
The juxtaposition of Doakes scenes next to current-day scenes just made it all the more obvious how south the writing has gone. Doakes didn't have his wit or charm or anything. It was actually really boring and dumb. [editline]18th December 2012[/editline] I mean, it was nice to see him. But he didn't seem like the season 1 Doakes. Not at all.
I just watched the finale, and I really liked it. Damn, it's a shame that we'll probably have to wait almost another year for Season 8, but hopefully it's worth the wait.
[sp]This is a dumb thought but if the GPS shows Deb going from the church to the gas station and back to the church and the security cam footage showed her putting gas into a can right? Why didn't she just say she was getting gas for Dexter's vehicle because he was running low? [/sp] Just a spontaneous thought I had while I watched the finale, dunno if there is any problems in it that would complicate things for either of them

Hannah bites Dexter. The end.

It finally all comes crashing down. Even with all the lousy plotholes this episode was pretty intense. Now let's hope they can make season 8 a worthy wrap-up.
They are in deep shit now. Either LaGuerta disappears and makes everyone suspicious as FUCK. Or she doesn't and Deb will end up behind bars in the next episode. Also, how the fuck did LaGuerta think it was somehow a good idea to tell absolutely no one about the call?!?
