Saw it coming when the camera focused on her and I just started saying "Oh come the fuck on, like Dexter needs any more of her sh- Wow, fuck you Astor."

I fucking loved the small part where we see Dexter picking up the knife when his neighbour is talking to him... That was great.

Or you need to look more into them. When that scene was happening I near instantly thought to him hammering the fuck out of the guy in the first episode of the season and was wondering if he's going to lose control like that again. Even though I knew it was unlikely anything would happen it was still tense knowing he's not himself.
Dexter needs more monologues like in the first season, instead of him talking to Harry.
Also, astor just tells him she doesn't like him and wants to stay with her grandparents, and rather than slapping the bitch down, he just lets her do it. He just got told what to do by a 12 year old girl.

Ether I have a heart of steel and ice, or you guys are really, really susceptible to cheesy 'emotional' scenes. And I was on the verge of tears during the opening sequence of UP, so I don't think it's the former.
I'm glad the kids are gone. It was alright when Rita was there, but when she's gone it'd be too much.
Astor is a horrible actor too.

Well Dexter probably realizes that's what's best. She'll have someone to watch over her all the time and he'll be more free to take care of his Dark Passenger's needs, on top of his job and everything else.

Just a quick return to that breakfast table scene. When it started Astor was acting alright and I was fucking glad that for the first time she isn't bitchy, then the plates happened and I was like "SHUT THE FUCK YOU LITTLE BRAT!" Cody was ace in the scene to stand up for Dexter. I'm sad that it's Dexter's fault Rita died, hopefully he will somehow move on.
When will dexter kill the guy from Harry and the Hendersons.
