A very good friend of mine did the drawings for the animations that were used to promote season 4. It was Dexter when he was younger, killing those who killed before he even joined Miami PD. I'm pretty sure the one he did was about a guy who burnt down an apartment building. He gave me original sketches from the segment.

it is THE dexter season, the season that defines the series. it is the original, it is the best. anything after is not quite as dexter as the first season.

Season #1 is the best, anyone who says otherwise is a fucking moron. Season 4 is amazing, Season 5 is better so far than Season 3.

Love this show.
I've only seen the first two seasons so far, awaiting the first DVD for Season 3 from Netflix, but this is easily my favorite show.
Dunno about you guys but I really enjoyed Season 3. I don't know why so many people disliked it. I'll admit the beginning was a little slow paced but I felt that it really all kinda built up to the climactic ending.
I liked Season 4 the best to be completely honest
Season 2 and 3 are definitely the lesser
I loved season 1 but season 4 was the best.

it also has the most artsy cinematography. rewatch season 1 and you'll see what i mean, lots of camera effects, more unusual but good angles, etc. every other season is filmed like a sitcom in comparison
Season 1 is what makes every other season great. The development in that season was fucking amazing.

If you expect it to be better than season 1, you might as well just stop watching.
Season 1 was the first (duh..) season and therefore the original idea. It can't really go anywhere but downhill from there. Season 4 was good and if I was the one who wrote the script, I would've stopped it right there, however, seeing as they plan on continuing, I think they're doing well with season 5 so far. I know I haven't felt the need to skip through an episode like I felt with season 3. So all is good in my book.

I'm going to bet there will be a 6th season and that'll be the end.
I have other reasons, but one is because there is enough space for there to be a Season 6 drop-down menu on the menu bar on their site.

I didn't know what he looked like either, I just had flashbacks to a hell of a lot of whining when i heard his voice and also vaguely recognised his name in the credits.
