I thought for sure that I'd come here and see a bunch of people saying how good the latest episode was, I guess I was wrong. It was one of my favourite episodes of Dexter, to be honest. Apparently I like the show most when the majority of people dislike it.
First episode of this season that was pretty decent, although I'm not quite fond of Lumen's acting.
I've just started on season 1 dexter, after watching the first ep i'm not really sure this is something for me.
Should i continue watching?
I mean,if its just a dude kicking on blood when he sees a body on a crime scene?
Expected something whole different tbh :s

It takes on a whole different toll, Dexter isn't really about a guy who examines blood at crime scenes, they just emphasized that in the beginning as an introduction.

Watch a few more episodes. If you don't like it after watching a few more then the chances are you're never going to like it.
I keep thinking that Harry is appearing more often, well, a bit less in current season. In first season I don't recall him at all, only in flashbacks and maybe one or two times talking to Dexter. Same with season two. In the third he was like in every second scene, but fourth was kind of standard.

I kinda like it when Dexter talks with Harry, obviously it's not a good sign of his sanity if he's seeing and talking with people but the dialogs are much better in some cases than Dexter just doing his Sherlock Holmes introspections, like the one where he's about to kill the guy but Harry stops him, kind of like his subconscious trying to remind him of a detail he missed, which in that case was the ankle bracelet.
I always saw harry not as literally dexter's father talking to him.. more like dexter's subconscious mind reminding him of things and his conscience

Same. Some of you guys are so whiny it's unbelievable. Sprocket Shit saying he's losing interest and one of the reasons is how the characters look. That's just fucking stupid.
[editline]1st November 2010[/editline]
and bree complaining about dexter not being caught lol. Of course he isn't going to be caught unless it's the end of the series.
Also, I call Quinn and Deb getting together, Quinn being 100% about dexter, but not saying anything because of being with Deb.
Did nobody else catch Dexter's online name for the gay killer?
"10 inches of pure steel" hahahaha
Just watched an episode from season three from TV.
I didn't know that it was this good.
Eh, I'm really not sure if I'm going to bother with the rest of the season now. Reading some descriptions ahead, the next two episodes seem like the exact same thing
[sp]Ep. 7 By aiding Lumen, Dexter puts himself on a collision course with Debra and the homicide division, and things get worse when he's brought in to work a horrific crime scene; and Debra's investigation into the Santa Muerte killings leads her into a deadly confrontation with the killers. [/sp]
[sp]Ep. 8 Dexter and Lumen take the opportunity to track a vicious murderer while attending a self-help seminar; fallout from the Santa Muerte homicides puts Debra in hot water and places Batista in a difficult situation. [/sp]
Is this season really progressing..?
apparently not
I hope Lumen makes a mistake and kills an innocent person, so that Dexter can take care of her.
was pretty mediocre.
only "intense" scene was when [sp]the guy got out of the trunk and dex had to chase him[/sp]
masuka's scene made me lol.
whole thing:

I started watching Dexter because of Dexter. I didn't anticipate them making him less important and diluting the show with a bunch of shitty and ugly characters. So yeah, it's to be expected that I'm going to lose interest when the show becomes less fixed on Dexter.
good show but im so far back im just going to buy the box sets and have like a marathon night :fuckyou:
The show is fucking called "Dexter" so it should be more about Dexter. The retarded sideplots are killing me.
This season has disappointed me so far. Don't really think it's going to magically get better either.
I was really expecting something else from this season. After the end of season 4 and some previews before the show aired again I thought they will come up with something interesting than this Lumen story.
I'm sure we can expect it to get maybe a little better, but in all fairness it's very tough to top the trinity killer.
It's mainly due to that guy leaving I think
I just ordered Dexter's "kill" shirt:

I can't wait for it to get here. I'm on like disc 2 of Season 4 at the moment, and I love all of it.
So my sister is watching this show should I be worried?
like say i steal cookies or something bad am i going to die?
Yesterdays episode was kind of boring.
spoilers to ep 6 of season 5.
[sp]why the fuck would the rapist call his friends and make it so obvious that hes guilty. he had dexter saving him etc etc, seems like shitty writing.[/sp]

I was curious about this too. I would have called the cops or something. Who knows how it would have played out differently though, or how it will play out the way things did happen.

They don't need to top the trinity killer, they need to stop throwing in a bunch of shit that isn't centered around Dexter.

You see I don't understand how it's not focused on Dexter. Currently the main parts of this show are:
1. Dexter being caught by lumen. (How isn't that about Dexter? Dexter has a huge problem if she does something that leads back to him.)
2. Quinn finding out about Dexter. (Again, how isn't that to do with Dexter?)
You can't have a TV program focusing on a single person, that would just be really boring. Most of the other "side plots" are there so all the other characters don't suddenly disappear from the show for when they're needed. I also have a feeling some of the side plots are going to tie in with the main plots.
I still think it's idiotic in losing interest in a show because of how a character looks.
Yeah, I don't like how the season has completely shifted it's attention to Lumen.
It's really boring.

He was going to die anyway. Recall masuka saying that an average man with that much blood loss wasn't going to survive. That blood topped with the amount he lost getting to the other place is probably a sure death. So why not phone to attempt revenge on the bitch that killed you.
