I don't disagree that it might have been better to have it happen later, like after Jordan Chase is dead, but if they decided to kill Lumen off before then, it needed to happen now. Obviously I'm only making an assumption that Lumen dies, based on the fact that everyone who finds out about Dexter ends up dead.[/QUOTE]
I really doubt that Luman will die. If she is killed by someone other than Dexter it's going to be Rita all over again, and if it's Dexter then it's the same thing we seen with Miguel.
As I mentioned before she's probably going to go back to her family / ex-bf.
Maybe it's just my love of the Max Payne series that I always want the main character to have a horrible ending, but for some reason I would love if the final season was Dexter's fall. I don't care much for happy endings that are really open.

True, I don't think that I can walk away from the series finale satisfied if Dexter isn't caught, killed, or at least forced to flee the country to cuba

dunno what you guys think, but I thought the newest episode was great. I was holding my breath most of the time. I think the next few episodes will be very awesome, I hope something "major" happens (maybe Lumen getting killed, Debra/Quinn finding out about Dexter, or Quinn getting killed). Obviously Dexter will deal with Chase but I hope that Chase manages to fuck things up good enough to carry over into the next season.

I'm pretty sure that Deb will find out that Dexter and Lumen are the vigilantes she's hypothesized.
I remember reading an interview about Rita's death, and that the writers were either going to kill her off (which they did), or have Deb find out, but decided against that, as it would be too much of a game-changer.
Debra's feelings regarding the murder of the rapists/murderers by vigilantes is significantly different from before. They've given a great deal of time to Deb going "Oh god, how horrible", so it wouldn't be out of character for her to be 'okay' with Dexter and Lumen's night time activities.

We haven't seen him do anything like that, but his moral compass isn't exactly great... the whole reason he hates dexter is because dexter saw him skimming some case from a crime scene.
If Deb finds out Dexter would need to explain to her his past with Harry. Shit would be crazy.
It would be extremely entertaining. Maybe that's how this season will end.

What would lead you to say this? Since when is everyone around him a sociopath? Miguel and Lila are the only ones he hung around that turned out to be killers. I wouldn't count Brian because he had an agenda to get close to Dexter from the start, Dexter got close to Arthur Mitchell knowing what he was, and Lumen... it's hard to fault her for wanting to kill the men who brutally raped and tortured her.
Even if you wanted to count those three, that amounts to one person per season who was close to Dexter and has killed another person.

Yes it's what I read on a spoiler website that has had other spoilers that turned out being truth in the past. They claim they know because they watch the episodes for review/publicity because the writers send some out (which is true but im not sure if the creator is a journalist or not) ill try and find the website now...
