I bet this will be awkward on set.
Hopefully the time between seasons will be enough to make filming season 6 not a problem between the two.
The ending was totally fucking [sp]expected[/sp]. I didn't really like it. It felt really bland.
The ending just feels really empty still. I enjoyed season 5 but I did not enjoy the finale. Season 6 can't get here soon enough.
I just hope they get new writers or bring back the old ones, or just I guess improve the fucking shit out of them because compared to season 1, the writing was really not good.
Also, a thing that [I]really[/I] annoyed me in this season is that scene when Lumen and Dexter go through Quinn's apartment and they watch a video of a cat farting and burping at the same time.

It doesn't matter if it was 2 seconds, it was the idea that they fucking had it in. Why the hell would they have it in? None of the other seasons had a silly comic-relief in a tense scene like that. The show has now shit writers, just admit it.
After watching Breaking Bad, Dexter doesn't feel very believable anymore. The writing isn't even close to Breaking Bad.
Just watched the season final, and I can say now that the ending was a disappointment.
I was expecting something to stay over for the next season (except Lumen, hate her) like the Quinn/Liddy murder, or Deb finding them, or Jordan or something.
It's like this season didn't matter, no change from beginning to end.

Also, at the start, the Latino brothers killers guys, pointless side-plot.
One thing that came out of this season was Dexter's healed relationship with Rita's kids (most especially Astor). I'd say that was a pretty important development, although it only happened in a couple episodes.
Well sure, Dexter helping Astor out was a nice side-plot for an episode, but it's not they're living with him again. They'd still be out of the way for the next season, so them liking Dexter wouldn't have any effect whatsoever.
I didn't try to say things didn't change at all, there's also the fixing of Angel's and Maria's marriage and Quinn's relationship with Debra.
But all of those don't mean squat, compared to Liddy going to the cops or Debra helping/turning in Dexter...
