I must admit [sp] I didn't epect Quinn to be pinned for the murder I thought the blood would just be to make us think he would notice the murder [/sp]
How the fuck did you not get that? :/ The blood drips on his shoe, he leaves abusive phone calls and puts his fingerprints all over the van I thought that was fucking obvious as hell he was going to be pinned for it what I didn't expect is the pansy "I need a lawyer. I'm not talking" etc I expected him to at least say something about Dexter considering it's obvious to him that Dexter did it.
Well sure, Dexter helping Astor out was a nice side-plot for an episode, but it's not they're living with him again. They'd still be out of the way for the next season, so them liking Dexter wouldn't have any effect whatsoever.
Apparently you missed one of the first scenes in the finale. He wasn't going to hurt her more by pointing the finger at Dexter, again.
Am I the only one who thinks Harrison is the cutest god damn baby in the whole world?
Quinn getting pinned for the murder was totally expected in my opinion. How you guys missed that I have no clue.

One thing that bothers me is all the plotholes. They were literally everywhere in this season, but never picked up on. What happened to the other fuentez brother or however you spell it, what happened to the guy dexter killed in the boat shop, what happened to dexter's crashed car, why didn't they find dexter's fingerprints in liddy's van, why didn't they search the bayside for camera equipment if it was thrown off by the killer, why didn't they search quinn's apartment and find the photos of dexter, and SO MUCH MORE it's seriously like the writers just said you know what we can't think of anything let's just forget about those things

i give the season a 2.5 would not watch again
The laptop in the bay? Seriously, that shit would wash up in a afternoon. Not to mention the footage of Dexter showing up. Derpxter.
i give the season a 2.5
out of 3? [editline]15th December 2010[/editline] I'm struggling to find any differences between the start of 5 and the end of it
out of 3?
Probably out of 9999999 because the season was such shit.

When Dex got picked up by Liddy, he was going in to get stab him with the needle, and he had his gloves on. The scenes where Dex is tied up, and even when he escapes, he still has his gloves on. So there wouldn't be any prints.
I've just started on season 1 dexter, after watching the first ep i'm not really sure this is something for me. Should i continue watching? I mean,if its just a dude kicking on blood when he sees a body on a crime scene? Expected something whole different tbh :s
Oh yeah i'm at season 4 now, and i'm glad i continued watching ,dexter rox :p
If Debra had found out about Dexter I would have been satisfied with the finale.
jordan chase was a terrible bad guy and that was a hollow ending. the whole time i was like "hrmmm how are they gonna top rita's death?" they couldn't and didn't, guess i should have expected that. hopefully season 6 will be good. jordan chase was a shit villain compared to trinity.
I wanted to know more about Jordan Chase. They didn't really give any information on WHY he was such an awful person. What happened in his younger years that made him the way he is?
The Feuntez(sp) wasn't a TOTALLY useless sideplot, as Debra did end up killing him and developing her character a little bit in that regard. Again, as much as I roll my eyes at some of Rusty's huge exaggerations, he is spot about this season not coming close to living up to the usually great writing in Dexter. I would still say it had good writing compared to a lot of shows on television, but that doesn't say much and is basically desperately searching for something to be optimistic about.
There was a lot of plot holes, hopefully stuff that will be pointed out to the writers heavily and they'll get their shit together and not make those errors with season 6. But I don't agree with season 5 being absolutely terrible. I enjoyed it for the most part. It's not the best, but it's still Dexter. Season 6 could go in so many ways, I dunno how I'm going to manage waiting till next year for more.
Going to smack myself on the head with an iron and watch season 4 again hopefully forgetting most of it.

i wasn't relieved when deb decided to let dexter and lumen go, i was mad. i was so excited to see how that would have played out but then again this is season 5 and nothing has gone as well as it could have in terms of story.
Actually, after watching Julie's (or Julia. whatever) commentary on Lumen, I was a bit more "ok, it wasn't THAT bad" about this season. It's Dexter's most human season, It's still the worst season.
I really enjoyed the season to be honest. Fuck y'all opinions :clint:
Watching season 3.
i wasn't relieved when deb decided to let dexter and lumen go, i was mad. i was so excited to see how that would have played out but then again this is season 5 and nothing has gone as well as it could have in terms of story.
The writers totally pussied out.
So let's recap few things. They didn't resolve the Trinity issue (Kyle Butler, money for the family), dead guy killed in the first episode in pretty unclean way, Fuente brother getting away, the Liddy/Quinn subplot leaving bunch of evidence and Dexter not really getting past Rita's death.
I was disappointed with the conclusion of season 5. Like I said a couple of pages back, Deb's sympathy for the "Vigilante" killers was foreshadowed in the police station scene. From that moment I knew she would let them go, regardless of whether she knew it was Dexter and Lumen or not. I did notice one thing however; the actor who played Jordan Chase seemed to be emulating the Joker from Dark Knight to portray madness/delusion. I noticed him licking his lips a lot, raising his voice sporadically and haveing "that" glare of madness indicative of rabid animals. That, to me was possibly the best part of the last episode. That and the moment when LaGuerta noticed the blood on Quinnes shoe.
