Because the writers said the finale is much like the season 4 finale, I was expected lumen to try and kill dexter, or deb to catch them, or there to be a catch with the nanny, or quinn to tell dexter he has evidence he kills people, the whole finale i was like :dance: here comes the catch! when lumen was on the lounge acting shady i was like WOOT HERE IT IS.. nothing happened. I'm like THERE'S STILL TIME. RITA HAPPENED IN LIKE 30 SECONDS. -waiting waiting- credits. WHAT!!!
Yeah seriously. They pretty much took the show, got rid of all the problems and lumen, and put it in a box and wrapped it up. It was stupid of them, I bet they're going to lose some existing viewers. Because now, I'm not even that excited for the next season. Ya know? Feels like it'll just be another antagonist vs. dexter scheme again.
I thought about it for a while, and this season was almost entirely pointless, since it doesn't even follow the season 4 finale enough. They just forget about the FBI and Kyle Butler completely. So now they actually have to follow up the fourth season... in the sixth season. Brilliant.
I'm still going to watch season 6 regardless.
The season isn't over, is it? I thought it was just on hiatus. I've enjoyed this season. As much as the others? No, definitely not. As much as the books? Absolutely not. But it is still entertaining.

Damn that finale was quite something, it was pretty tense. Anyway I hate it how Quinn and Dexter can't go through of "what happened" at the harbour, like Quinn showing up "Dex you know.. I know.. pretty fucked up" and Dex saying something gritty and smart and stuff, keeping it a secret between the two of them. Would add some depth, but then again like Dexter said he don't like him (at all :v:) so that might explain it.. but it still doesn't change the fact that they have a link.
