Was the latest episode the finally? If so that season was kind of a letdown
Saw some episodes last night 4/10.
Season 5 ended so well, I'm glad it kind of gives it a fresh start with things kind of reverting. While that's cool, it does seem like the cheap season that's in many shows that kind of fits in but isn't at all necessary. It taught him a lesson but in the end everything's largely the same.
Season 5 ended horribly.
I would of rather Lumen died. I hated that bitch.
Why? Lumen proved useful to Dexter's need. At least Lumen didn't fuck Dexter over majorly. But if that guy didn't spot suspicious cargo in her car.....And Lumen is a bad driver.

I would prefer if she hadn't existed at all and that we actually had a proper conclusion to the events of season 4 instead of just quickly wrapping it up and shoving it in storage so that we could get on with an entire season full of filler. But hey, I guess that's just me 'cause apparently millions of other people enjoyed CSI: The Young, the Dexter and the Restless.
And suddenly, MASSIVE NOSTALGIA.
Haven't watched it since the first season.

Not the ONLY thing he loved. The thing he loved more than anything, even though he cares more for Deb.
He also loves the kids, but that doesn't count as much since he has a predisposition towards liking all kids.
I do get what you mean though, it was extremely sad.
I suppose you would say season 5 was to Lost is to Dexter season 5. Season 5 was a filler for the lost season.

No, read them all. You won't regret it.
The Dexter books start off really quite badly, with satanic cults and his dark passenger manifesting itself and all that.
But, if you can soldier on through the garbage then you'll get to the surprisingly good stuff.
