I still really liked season 5, what's so bad about it anyway?
Season 1 & John Lithgow season was amazing. Season 5 was pretty awesome, but it makes dexter feel a bit too animated. Cold, scheming, fuck shit up behind your back Dexter would have been a nicer touch

I'm kind of in a pickle here, I have a book report due on tuesday and I'm only about a quarter way through Darkly Dreaming Dexter because I felt unmotivated to read it because I know all the secrets about whats going to happen. I was wondering if season 1 is enough like the book to do my report on that?

Coincidently I started reading the book as well. It's interesting seeing a slightly different telling of everything. I also like how Dexter is much more brutal in the book (Kicks the priest numerous times and shoves him into his car instead of just knocking him out, also shows his victims the corpses of the people they killed instead of just photos).
So he does it in the books how he did the very first kill in the show? Why did they end up changing it, that sounds like a subtle detail to show Dexter's absolute insanity.
Fuck sake i was going to start watching Season 5 ( finished season 4 a couple of nights ago ) and now i've been put off it, screw it im gonna watch 5x01 now... gotta see how the ending of 4 is tied up.
did the writers change for season 5 or something? or was it just.....not as well written by the same people?

Why did it take me so long to start watching this show? I started it two days ago and I' almost through the first season.
Goddamn, I'm not gonna be able to watch Season 6 because I have to get it off Netflix.

Well shit, I just finished season 4. This is the only TV show I've really watched that hasn't been horribly predictable.
I wish we could see Dexter go crazy more, like when he[sp]jumps on Arthur with the knife or gets angry at Lila.[/sp]
Well, the trailer makes it sound like he's snapped or something. But who knows, after what they pulled at the end of the last season.

Although it was only in his mind, I loved that scene (I think it was in Season 3 when he found out Miguel screwed him over with the shirt) where Dexter flips the table and just starts breaking everything in the lab.

The teaser had big promises in it, I only hope they really deliver. The fact that they didn't even mention the shitfest that was Season 5 might indicate they know they fucked up.
