I really hope that Edward James Olmos's character isn't Tom Hank's son's imagination, as it feels increasingly so. I want Edward James Olmos's character to be the real baddy and the kid just a stepping stone to him.
I really enjoyed that episode. Especially the last scene, holy fuck. Can't wait for next week.
Religion or not I'm enjoying these new main bad guys. I enjoyed that episode a lot.
This episode is superb. I'm glad too see that Dexter is getting better.

I really hope Quin dies in this season, the sooner the better. That way the show can go back to being about Dexter, instead of Dexter: and the Misadventures of Debra, Quin, Batista, LaGuerta, and Masuka.

In the books, Dexter essentially has no emotions. He saves people because it's logical, and kills for the logical reason. With the exception of Book 3, he does things purely because they are deemed necessary to him. I find that a lot easier to connect with, especially with the plot-point of book 3.
[sp] He loses the Dark Passenger, and becomes essentially a woman suffering from a few month long periods [/sp]
Also, the books are amazingly spiritual, which makes this season a little easier to swallow. Too bad there's nothing about the Dark Passenger.
