The only thing I didn't really like is that there's no way Dexter would've been quick enough to grab the thing (dunno the name of it) and kill that guy, the guy would've shot first.
Did anyone else notice this? the only reason i watch this show now is because of dexter and now they're messing up his character too
dexter speeding down the road blasting off a gun hmm i don't think so
Holy fuck, that last episode butchered the character of Dexter, this is some bad shit.
That was the worst episode of the show that I have ever seen, Jesus...
[sp]Fire 8 bullets from revolver still bullets left for the guy to hold him up with[/sp] Wow.
Am I the only one who liked last episode? Him firing the gun down the road was him embracing his "dark" and irrational side, which made sense at the time and was then resolved. Big whoop
I hope atleast that everything that occurred in that episode comes back to bite him in the ass. But, that'd also make more stupid subplots.
Status quo is a bitch.
Am I the only one who liked last episode? Him firing the gun down the road was him embracing his "dark" and irrational side, which made sense at the time and was then resolved. Big whoop
I really liked the episode actually. Now this season is going for a different conclusion, which doesn't have to do with religion and I like that. The conclusion seems to be about letting go and forgiving yourself or some shit
This thread is exactly as I remember it. Lots of rusty whining
How do you expect me not to whine with writing this poor? A lot of people here know what's up, they really butchered his character and made him do things he would never normally do. It is really an eyeopener for anyone who was starting to think this season would be okay. A grand reveal for how terrible these writers really are. Honestly, there are so many things wrong with the new episode I could write a god damn thesis on it. But I won't, as I feel like it's all fairly obvious anyway. It's not like I'm the odd one out here, I think there's a general consensus that this episode BLEW. Every tiny little detail about it off. Dexter setting himself up to get caught leaving dozens of witnesses from just about everything he did. Dexter is more careful than this. The introduction of the Rudy ghost was pointless and sudden, the writers had no better ideas. Someone already pointed out he fired way too many bullets, and that scene was so retarded in the first place. The thing where Rudy ghost stabs the dude but it was Dexter. There's no way he could have accomplished that while being held up. It makes no sense. Literally nothing in this episode was well written and made the slightest bit of sense. Really think about the events of this episode. Don't turn your brain off. Turning your brain off to enjoy something is counter productive and encourages lazy and nonsensical writing. And if you have to turn your brain off to enjoy Dexter, the same show that was so incredibly smart, sharp and well written in season 1, you have got to realise something is very wrong.

Much better than the usual 1 liner "writers are shit" crap.
Writers are pretty shit if they wrote such a shitty episode.
I am just completely amazed that Jonah didnt go and tell the cops about dexter. If the shit he pulled in Nebraska doesnt come back to bite him in the ass (that woman seeing him and everyone else) then that means this episode was a complete waste of time. Nothing accomplished, nothing gained, not even a hint as to whether Gellar is alive or dead because every time i think "Oh well the picture frame surely means Travis put it there as his alternate personality of Gellar... wait but Gellar is getting all of this shit done even though Travis is with his sister, how the fuck?" i start to lose my mind over the conflicting signs.
I come to this thread just to read Rustys posts.
From what I've heard, is this season even worth watching?
From what I've heard, is this season even worth watching?
depends, its better than the 5th yet not up to par where it should be. If this season ends like the 5th than no, it is not worth it.
watching through season 1 for the first time, and im really enjoying the scenes with Dexter and a couple of others but thats it. i get so annoyed by the chief and her forced side story bullcrap i think after watching Breaking Bad its easier to see when character development is shit or is going downhill
From what I've heard, is this season even worth watching?
It started out terrible, got a little better, then took a nosedive and broke the scale creating whole new levels of bad.
Am I the only person here that has enjoyed every episode of Dexter?
Am I the only person here that has enjoyed every episode of Dexter?
Yes.
Am I the only one who liked last episode? Him firing the gun down the road was him embracing his "dark" and irrational side, which made sense at the time and was then resolved. Big whoop
his dark side isn't supposed to be irrational though, it's supposed to be the cold, psychopathic, calculating and sociopathic side of him (season 1)
season 1 best season
Am I the only person here that has enjoyed every episode of Dexter?
I agree with you. The show might not be great, or even very good at points. But I've always found it very enjoyable. Mostly because Michael C. Hall is really really great to watch. The writing has gotten pretty bad in places, but I don't think the show's nearly as bad as people are saying. It's developed some flaws, sure, but it's still a mostly very enjoyable experience watching it.
Doakes made seasons 1 and 2 so much better.

They are probably reading our posts right now. They might even make a Harrison subplot getting jiggy at school just to piss us off. When I saw the preview for this episode I thought Dexter shooting the gun on the highway would be the only out of character thing to happen. Seriously The Walking Dead is turning out terrible and now this.
[sp]Deborah is the right whore?[/sp]
If this happens I swear to god I will write a stern letter to the writers.
