I just finished Season 5 episode 10. I don't think the season is as good as any previous seasons, but I certainly don't hate it. I don't get why everyone hates Lumen. If it's a plot point having to do with her that I haven't seen yet, that might explain it. But if it's not that, then what?
who?
Exactly.

She's annoying and her relationship with Dexter goes absolutely nowhere plotwise. All of Season 5 goes nowhere plotwise.
why is everyone so pissy about the bomb, it's a fine idea
Dexter is not 24.
why is everyone so pissy about the bomb, it's a fine idea
Sure it is.
oh my god dm

So glad Dexter is a loner again and all "why did I listen to brother sam ugh"
Hope restored
Fuck.. I even miss Lundy. I miss old Dexter, so much. The twists.
Even that annoying ass reporter.. when she opens the door and goes "hello dad" or whatever she said and it was like BAM HOLY SHIT
finding out Rudy was the icetruck killer.. when he's on the pc replying to the email.. chills down my spine man
it was sooo good. now its just depressing. god, i'm becoming rusty. ill shut up.
I was thinking the exact same thing when I was watching it. My god - taking Sam out, Gellar being exactly who we thought he was all along, Angel and Quinn's stupid little misadventures, Deb's neverending malaise and being tied down with shitty bureaucratic processes, Dexter being completely unaware of anything, the lack of any shocking twists whatsoever. It's all so trite. I miss Lundy, I miss the Ice Truck Killer, I miss Rita, I miss Trinity. I miss it all.
Why are you making me hate Dexter, writers. Why. I want to continuing loving this show.
I was wondering, in this episode they showed Travis to be the crazy one, not Gellar, BUT Gellar had all of those crazy ass writings by him, and he even choreographed that skip with the woman and the lamb. Now i know people can say, "Well maybe the drawings were originally Travis' and Gellar kept them to hide them" but that doesnt explain the skit. Saying that Gellar wasnt crazy at all makes no fucking sense, fucking bullshit.

Mourn and move on, Dexter is dead.
he was a ghost
No. Travis is a ghost, and Dexter was Doomsday Killer all along.
Everyone is a ghost.
It was all the dream of a girl who lives inside a snowglobe of a guy that has nightmares about snowglobes.
this is all a tv show within that one show named after another guy

lol rita was a metaphor for the good of the show and it's been ded from season 4
lol rita was a metaphor for the good of the show and it's been ded from season 4
So the writers where Trinity? But that means Dexter killed the writers, so the producers are Dexter!
And... and they like to harm themselves. It all makes sense.

Rita had a sweet ass. I miss it.

oh god what are they doing
They keep hinting at a dexter-deb relationship, its just going to get awkward and not work at all.
And it is then revealed Mike Andersmith was actually working with Travis. Called it.
And this season will be known as the incest season.

More like the "predictable-as-fuck" season.

Doakes was the metaphor for the quality of the show, not rita.

but they arent related.....
Mourn and move on, Dexter is dead.
You should take your own advise there, didn't you say you weren't watching this show any more a while back? If that's true why do you come into this thread to repeat yourself every week.
Doakes was the metaphor for the quality of the show, not rita.
Yeah, she was getting to be quite annoying after a while. I thought most people were actually pretty relieved when she was offed, although it didn't affect Dexter as much as most of us would have hoped (with it almost feeling like it's been forgotten in the later seasons).
but they arent related.....
Still creepy though. If you're raised alongside someone as your sister/brother even though they're not blood related, you still get the awkward feeling of "I can't bang them because I've been raised to not feel sexually attracted to my family so it would feel too much like incest".
