Yes, because it is.
I would tell them ----> :frog:
You would tell them about frogs?
Did you just call a sex change more normal?
It is normal if the person truly believes they are the opposite gender.
Stop trying to be a smartass/funny/whatever and go jack off to How To Train Your Dragon.
An owl is an owl, man.

That doesn't even make sense in the context of gender.
Well I found out who wants a sex change.
Um, I agree they are both far from normal.
Though one is quite a bit more obvious than the other.
(Forgive me for any harsh words)
If my kid had a sex change, i would probably fast thread.

According to his avatar male dragons I might add. The only difference between you and them is that for them they would have more then one "fun hole" to get stuff stuffed in. Oh and dont dragons ejaculate fire or something?
Last time I checked, one fetish is a lot less weird than a sex change.
Nice edit bro.
At least changing genders is possible, unlike fantasizing about having sex with Toothless.
If I had a kid... I would probably be disapointed in him/her. It would be hard to treat them the same.

I would be disappointed...
Extremely disappointed that they couldn't find another way to distract they're despair.
The worst part of it would be how expensive it is.
And how other people tend to be dicks.
in all honesty i wouldn't care too much. but i can understand where others are coming from when they say they would treat them differently. It's not exactly something you expect from a family member. at least here in Newfoundland, population 57.
The reason why people would be disappointed in there children it seems is because its like being gay but without all the press and junk gay people get. Wanting a sex change is jsut as bad as being gay and by that I mean its not bad at all except gays have become excepted way more over the years.
edit
people read the whole post. I never said homosexuality is wrong.

Except being LGBT isn't bad.

Win.

Neither are sex changes.

I never said it was. If you read my post I will say there is nothing wrong with it.
I would disown them.

That was incredibly stupid.
This is a stupid thread, nobody on Facepunch has children.
it was hilarious you guys are so uptight it's a sin
I wouldn't disown them or try and make them feel like they did something wrong, but I'd still find find the situation uncomfortable.
Differently? Yes. I think that's fairly unavoidable.
In a negative way? That I'm not sure of and I can't really be until I have a kid who has a sex change. I'm currently hoping that it doesn't happen, though, so I'd probably wouldn't react supportively.
If I had a daughter yes. If I had a son, no. It's reasonable to want to be a woman.
absolutely. thats a horrible thing to do, god made you the way you are for a reason!

i don't know about you, but i think i speak for most people when i say thats not reasonable at all.
As long as they pay for it themselves I don't give two shits.
