I don't have a suit. Guess I could photoshop one onto my head. Heh. That looks cool.
Tonight's new episode:
Season 1: episode 18 "Providence"
[sp]With Colonel Glenn Talbot now on their trail, Coulson and his team seek refuge in the last place anyone would look, where they begin to uncover S.H.I.E.L.D.'s most dangerous secrets -- secrets that could destroy them all.[/sp]
Remember, tonight's episode is an hour later than normal, with a repeat of last week's episode before it.
[sp]Maria Hill returns in "Nothing Personal," the twentieth episode of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," as Coulson and his team continue to struggle to find their place in a world without S.H.I.E.L.D....and if that's not enough, Colonel Glenn Talbot comes knocking once more![/sp]
Shit why couldn't the show have been this good from the beginning.
Except I cringed so fucking hard at the unneeded CoD reference.

Unneeded as in there a legitimate reason you think mentioning a videogame in reference to the fact that Agent Koeing was living alone in a bunker and had nothing else to do but play videogames was unnecessary, or unneeded as in "I hate CoD so I don't like it when it's mentioned on a show"?
Activision probably paid Kevin Feige and co to put that in the show.
It was Patton Oswalt so I was able to forgive him for the Call of Duty joke.

or maybe they wanted to make a cultural reference????
it's also spelled paid
just so u know

I actually play a bit of CoD from time to time, but it was just completely unnecessary. There's a difference between making a cultural reference and shamelessly pandering to a certain demographic. Yeah it makes perfect sense that he plays videogames because he's stuck in a bunker, but the show didn't have to say he "racks up major kills with his bro" or whatever.
Also if you want to get logical about it, if he's that far off the grid, he shouldn't be playing online with people he knows at all?

I guess you could say that the Verizon Fios scene in Iron Man 3 is also a "cultural reference"
:v:

"dude where you at???" "im on vacation maaaaan"
it's really not that hard to believe
Yeah, [sp]wouldn't Director Fury kind of warn against using internet because of the threat of Hydra?[/sp]
I'm trying to picture Coulson sitting down now with an Xbox and playing video games and it isn't working.

[sp]I think they're fully capable of building a base with internet access. I mean they could pretty much just setup a hardline to a data center in Vancouver or anywhere in Canada and get an appropriate IP address. Its not like an IP address is going to give anyone the exact coordinates of the base magically just by looking at it.[/sp]

Coulson prior to the Avengers death makes more sense

It's not entirely impossible that real-life things exist in this universe
Seriously complaints about product placement are baseless 9 times out of 10
I really think we're getting worked up over nothing.
also [sp]what do we call the show now, Agents of Nothing?[/sp]
Sweet Moses this show is getting somewhere. Finally.

Well at least we know where the [sp]Ward confessing scene from the preview will be[/sp].
Im guessing the questions [sp] are going to be very vague where he can use stuff like "Have you ever killed someone" Ward can go "yes someone who I thought was the clairvoyant I'm a bad person I've done bad things that I'm ashamed of and he'll beat it. But skye will get that drink with him and thats when he'll tell his real secret. [/sp]
man, that was a damn good episode. got a little cheesy near the end but still.
Is this show worth watching? I'm not usually a fan of superhero television shows, but I'm a big fan of the MCU. I'm concerned about a lot of the criticisms I've heard regarding it (too many rookies, SHIELD seems less threatening and mysterious, cheesiness and difficult to adjust to compared to the big-budget movies).
I watched a promo for an episode a little while back which had them disguised on a train and it really gave me a bad "generic cop show" vibe, although I'm still willing to give the show a chance especially after TWS.
The events of TWS had a huge impact on the show, and the twist TWS gave the show took it from a mediocre show to my favorite show on television at the moment (Arrow is still great but I'm more interested in Agents of SHIELD at the moment, Cosmos is always fun but it's not exciting in the "what happens next!" sense, and Rick and Morty is over, so that's why it's my favorite at the moment.)
So could I just start watching the series starting from the TWS tie-in episodes or would I be confused?

at least you need to watch
1x1,1x3,1x4,1x6,1x8,1x10,1x11,1x13 onwards
all of those build the story for the back half, watching from TWS without watching those would just be confusing
i'd just watch all of them knowing it'll get so much better

forgot one, helps build character later
