Oh boy is that a tempting price, especially at £200 less compared to other places.
I would also consider a Tokina 10-17 f/3.5-4.5 if i were you. That lens is better built, and they do a proper QC on their lenses so you won't get a lemon lens. Also, it lets a whole stop more light in wide open on both ends. Only difference is the focal length, 12.8mm on fullframe with the sigma in comparison with 16mm fullframe on the tokina. I would take the tokina because it's built like a tank, and i've heard stories that sigma lenses lose their paint over time if you use it a lot. Plus the tokina is cheaper.
But the tokina is a fish-eye.
Just discovered photoshop? :v: (I did shit like that)
been using it for years but only now am i using it to it's fully comedy purposes

http://www.nikon.com/news/2011/0525_01.htm Nikon in a lawsuit with sigma for $150,000,000
Nikon Corporation filed a patent infringement lawsuit in Japan May 25, 2011 Nikon Corporation (KIMURA Makoto, President, Tokyo, hereafter referred to as "Nikon") filed a patent infringement suit against Sigma Corporation (hereafter referred to as "Sigma") to Tokyo District Court on May 25, 2011. Nikon's lawsuit seeks an injunction against Sigma's manufacture and sale of infringing interchangeable lenses with vibration reduction for single lens reflex cameras, along with damages for past infringement. Nikon has invested considerable resources in the form of research and development over a period of many years. Such investments have created intellectual property that are important business assets of Nikon and have enabled Nikon to continuously provide the products and services that satisfy its customers requirements. Although Nikon attempted to resolve Sigma's patent infringement through negotiation, a non-adversarial resolution could not be reached. Consequently, Nikon concluded that filing a lawsuit was the only way it could protect its intellectual property.
Hardly anyone around me will process color slides. And the ones that do, it's pretty damn expensive.
Hardly anyone around me will process color slides. And the ones that do, it's pretty damn expensive.
yeap, slides are pretty obscure now-adays. I got mine done in C41 chemistry and the results were pretty good http://www.flickr.com/photos/jhaslehurst/tags/crossprocessed/

is it pathetic to not let somebody steal your photo? [editline]26th May 2011[/editline] and shite an ugly logo on it
is it pathetic to not let somebody steal your photo? [editline]26th May 2011[/editline] and shite an ugly logo on it
No, I would get super angry if someone stole my photos.
I'd get mad.
if someone garners attention for something you did, that's a total bitch move on their part. Putting a logo/text watermark on your image might hurt your image, but in some instances is preferrable, especially if you plan to sell prints or something.
Didn't you have a problem with someone stealing your images dai?
Deviant art. Hahahahaha
Wow, so apple released an update so you can see previews and thumbnails of .nefs, but it's packaged together with something to allow iPhoto and Aperture to open .nefs as well. And you're not allowed to install it unless you own one of those programs. And I wouldn't waste $50 on iLife or $100 on aperture.
macs come with iphoto [editline]27th May 2011[/editline] or is it for iLife 11?
