Saw a guy on the Jubilee line with a 1D the other day. He's very brave carrying it around in full view like he was!
I once saw a guy bungee jumped with a 5d. Damn.
For the last few weeks the weather has been beautiful and sunny, then as soon as I get hold of a camera it starts pissing rain. :( I can't wait for the weather to clear up again. It was raining heaps today but I still gave my 7D a go in my backyard, no worthy photos to post though. I absolutely love this body, it's such a major upgrade from my 400D. The functions on the camera are so appealing and easy to get around, the body feels amazing and dgfshdfg I just want the sun to come out so I can bring my 7D for a walk around the neighbourhood. :allears: I'm still really busy with finishing year 12 though so no trips out to the mountains or city, but I'll try to get some photos of the neighbourhood in the next couple of days. [editline]31st May 2011[/editline] also I really wish my mates were into photography so I can always take my camera out with me. I don't really know anyone that's into taking photos which bums me out because I feel like I miss out on so many great opportunities.

Just link them to some portraits you have done and when they see they aren't done with a point and shoot the would probably be more than willing to. I'm doing 2 shoots this weekend with 2 friends from school and it seems to be a great way to be able to get out. here is my 'portraits' set I would recommend you try to put together something similar :) p.s. If that totally isn't your style, disregard what I've said, just a suggestion, not an order :)
2 points of good news, I just bought a Spyder 3 Express to calibrate my monitor, and I'll be moving in with a friend with a major photography fetish, who's willing to share his lenses with me while I live with him (300mm f/2.8, 14-24mm f/2.8, 24-70mm f/2.8, etc) I'm pretty exited.

ohhhh god oh man oh god oh man I've got like 9 gigs worth of shots (mostly jpg) from the past week, got some jesus tapdancingly awesome shots of sunsets and beaches and stuff, I'll be putting up a new gallery in my photoworks thread in the next week or so
Sounds nice.
I am still exhausted from yesterday's party at my girlfriends house. I was the photographer for that night. The next morning I woke up and prayed to god I didn't break my camera. I now know I will not stay away from alcohol, eventhough there is hanging a lot of money around my neck Luckily it survived.
Next time I go to a party with my camera I will use 35mm. Last time my kit lens got fucked up completely, now has a ton of scratches.

boring? [editline]6th June 2011[/editline] I would say it's more than boring
forgot if I mentioned before, but I had a party where I was smashed. Woke up the next morning not remembering going to sleep on the floor, saw my camera sitting on the coffee table. Checked it for classic "LOL DRUNK" pictures, but I remembered taking every shot, even though the timestamps showed they were taken about 3 hours after the last time I remember the clock, or anything else at all. v:buddy:v
Photographers can get all the chicks though.
Photographers can get all the chicks though.
there was a comic strip someone posted in LMAO pics (maybe here?) a while back, it was a photographer's guide to picking up chicks or something like that and had a step-by-step. it said stuff like "Buy a camera a neck strap, those are the professional kind and chicks dig that" or something. vaguely remember it, can't find it anywhere right now

A lot of girls wanted to take a picture with me. Though the amount of alcohol also kind of broke the ice ;)
I started one of those tumblr things http://tumblr.haslehurst.net/ add me, etc. I only know bopie's tumblr name though, anyone else have an account?
Photographers can get all the chicks though.
When I'm drunk I seem to think it's a very good thing to say to pull girls. It actually works too :v:

too much video editing arhahghhgfhfg It's a group project and we all left it off until the last day so now I've been editing for about 5 hours straight, and still need maybe 2 more. At least I get to use shitty 80s pop in it. [editline]7th June 2011[/editline] also for some reason my nikon used some weird video codec and I had to spend a long time converting all the files.
Hey guys, I just spend a small hour fixing my window from leaking. I woke up feeling wet spots on my bed and thought uh oh, but then I realized it was dripping from my window. So I duct-taped that bitch up, hoping it will hold for the night. Right now it is 03:13. I just love doing this shit at these hours. Sleep is overrated anyway
