my asda gives you them back
Not really, the cd is their cheapest option. They don't even allow you to just get the negatives back.
I actually just paid for prints, the dude was running slow so I got the CD free.
I learned a lot from this set of film, and afterwards discussing it with my dad, he showed me where the ISO settings on the camera were, and while I was unsure if that merely listed the recommended ISO for the shutter speed, it being right underneath the shutter speed controls, he showed me they can be independently controlled. I may need to pay more careful attention to the manual next time.
Either way, 16 of ~24 images developed, the outside ones look fine, the inside ones I tried not using flash and they look like dark shit. also, the pics all look like they were taken in the '80s due to the age of the film (1988 at the latest is my best guess). I'll be posting the ones that could classify as "creative" in a bit.
I had walgreens develop film from my old kodak 2-B experiment, they charged the $6 whatever for development and asked an extra X amount for prints, and Y amount for CD. I don't know why walmart would charge you for a CD and throw away your negs. I literally just got the negatives out of the deal, I think that's the cheapest I can do.
whaaaaat
To clarify, they give the negatives back, but they don't do develop only.
The negatives are the most important bit. CD's and prints come second.
Get negs only, scan self.
To clarify, they give the negatives back, but they don't do develop only.
This. I got negs back, but you have to get something else as well. Granted, I wanted something else as well, so I didn't ask for just negs.
well, people always say good glass is more important than a body. somebody took it to heart.
well, people always say good glass is more important than a body. somebody took it to heart.
But in order to take advantage of that glass, you must have a half decent body.
Right?
Yes, they both compliment each other, but neither automatically make your photos good.
Duh mos self-evident troof.
you drinkin' again? :v:
and yeah, the lenses add a little to the camera's capability (real zoom and depth of field, mostly), but that still doesn't excuse the fact it's a crappy camera phone sensor

Massive lightning storm passing over me, too scared to get a big metal tripod out and take photos.
[editline]8th July 2011[/editline]
Went out anyway, without a tripod, and lightning struck the hillside of Arthurs Seat about 250 feet from me, leaving my ears ringing and myself and the guy next to me swearing loudly.
Myself and my D90 got absolutely drenched in rain as well, and it still performed normally :D
this thunderstorm is awesome

happened to me during my last storm, struck the train across the field from me as I was shooting it. Didn't get the strike as I was too busy flinching

I love lightning storms, scary and surreal.
Just went into the park in the fog/low-clouds, got lost up top.
I fucking love it having this place right at my doorstep in the city.
View to the north.

Go after storms, during fog or during sunset for maximum effect :D
Also, if you do this in parks, fuck you.

Went to hang with a buddy of mine, brought my camera, we dropped by his place to get his too. I had brought a spare roll of film with me, expecting him to be using his Sony that's not quite a point-and-shoot but not quite a DSLR, however he pulls an old rangefinder out of nowhere. So, I hand him my spare roll AND we head out and buy more film. I think I got a lot of crap/overexposed shots, a few good ones of the city skyline and a church steeple with some "God rays" behind it. We mostly only used his Sony for gauging what settings to shoot our film cameras at. Now I have another roll I need developed already and more film than I thought I'd need.
does he have one of these?

Similar, yeah.
NEX-5 or NEX-3 then
Does it matter?
oops, wrong thread.
I just realized after rechecking the manual for my camera that thanks to misinterpreting my dad, I probably got absolutely no good shots yesterday, because I never ended up properly changing the shutter speeds due to a misinterpretation of how to properly do it. Fuck, I had a couple that I was hoping wouldn't be shit, too.
Don't let yourself be disappointed till you've seen them, you might have gotten lucky.
