On the topic of memory cards, I currently have one 8GB class 4 card. But here is the weird thing, with my t2i I have had no problems recording 1080p video at 30 or 24fps. Gotta upgrade either way.
I've used up my 8GB card 3 times over the past few days (I was on a trip). I think I may need a bigger one. :(
Bah. Need to get a new card myself, curse my utter poverty.
You guys and your huge cards.

You don't have enough storage right?(atleast, not in your eyes) So why not think harder about shots and whether they are worth taking and keeping? It's like shooting film. You only have a few shots so you need to make them all count. The same could be done if you think you don't have enough storage. Just be selective about the shots you take and I'll guarantee you you won't run out of space on your cards. And hey, you might even learn to think more about your shots.

So one shot is a good 30MB. Another is that I can't really judge if a shot looks good enough until I get it on my nice big LCD screen, the camera's screen is too small. I really should think more about shots, and I try to, but I have a really odd mindset that even the smallest things look nice.
I really should think more about shots, and I try to, but I have a really odd mindset that even the smallest things look nice.
I don't get how thinking about shots is the opposite of macro photography. small things can look nice, and they do, often enough. (hurr hurr small things !nice) someone recently posted pictures of office supplies that were endlessly more interesting than generic bee & flower shot or something. so a small thing that everyone sees on a daily basis can be better than something "different."
I don't literally mean smallest things, I mean things like street lights, power poles, antennas, etc.
of course they can. my favorite picture of all time is this B&W shot of an overflowing trash can under an overpass. but there are other elements to a shot than the content.
I really enjoy the photography of the film 'Primer'.
One of my favorite movies. It was messed up as the same settings were used for all the scenes. [editline]3rd August 2011[/editline] Just checked the commentary again, apparently the wrong setting was used in the blow up process. The actual film was very well exposed (half a stop to a stop underexposed). He could've gone back and fixed it, but the print wouldn't of been ready for the Sundance Film Festival 2004.

So I recently came in the possesion of an 107 year old camera. It is working order other than the shutter being a tad finicky. The only problem is I have no idea how to control aperture and shutter speed. If I pull the shutter lever sometimes it clicks open for .5 seconds, sometimes for 3 seconds or sometimes around 1/100 of a second. I can't find any manuals online :v:

I don't think a 1904 camera would have auto exposure via light meter or anything, but I know cameras had manual control over that stuff mostly using little dials around the edge of the lens.

Expected my scanner to arrive today. It didn't.
Almost got stabbed on my way home by some 15 year old punks who thought they could talk dirty to me, fucking horrible...makes me think how horrible this society is, on the rest of my way home I saw a homeless sleeping infront of the Bank. I think I'll make a concept album called 'Society - disease'.

The top is "I" "B" (Bulb?) and "T". The bottom ring is 1, 2, and 3. I am pretty sure it is a Kodak Brownie but I'm not sure the exact model. I know for a fact it is from 1904 to 1907 because there is a note from whoever in my family bought it inside the camera.

Does anyone else find it a waste to shoot in film then scan for digital distribution, instead of printing in a darkroom and showing it off that way. It completely misses the high detail and colours.
Sometimes I get high and post its stupid. ~Sorry.
