I was a bit surprised the photo that looked like it was taken at a party wasn't up for elimination. It had nothing to do with photo booths and it oozed with hipsteryness which the judges seemed to hate, but oh well. v:v:v [editline]18th August 2011[/editline] Oh and I thought the photo of the shifty guy going into the old photo booth was awesome.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkaRmCTz7cQ magiclantern now lets 500D/T1i record 1080p 30fps
My hit count on Flickr has nearly doubled after posting three pictures of pylons. I guess people REALLY love pylons [editline]18th August 2011[/editline]
Ooo! Digitalrevs latest video! Opinions? I personally think some of the contributions were silly, like the girl with the big thighs, I mean.. What the heck? :v:
The quality difference was amazing. There were some amazing contributions, but, seriously, what were some of them thinking? WHAT WERE THEY THINKING? And the guy who was "Well I could have taken a DSLR and taken a great picture, but, I mean, that's not.. that's not what I was about MAN"

On a side note, does anyone here use an iPad in their workflow?

sorry I've been AWOL now that SOMETHING friggin' happens. Most drama we usually see is the three posts it takes to razz b-hazard about being drunk again or razzing cueball about another shot of a fire alarm thinger. TL;DR, my mom lost her marbles and kicked me out of the house because I hid alcohol in her room. The REASON it was there was because my 18 year old sister and her pack of party people friends were having, of all things, a party at our house and I knew my mom's closet was the last place anyone would go. Good news is, I'm now renting a townhouse with my friend who's parents rent townhouses out, so we're getting a $2000+/month mansion of a place (~1750-2000 sq ft, holy shit) for roughly $1400 between 3 people, my share only being 400. When 700 is the median around here, this is friggin' awesome. On the matter of contentless threads or sour attitutes, it's been perfectly fine to lock and ban people for doing more and less, so I don't se why I can't swing my fly swatter around more often. Behind on my beating quota anyways. giving a posted warning to edit up the OP, showing people how to thumb [t]ag things so they can go back and do it themselves would be more than helpful, or if there's problems send me a PM or jump on the facebook chat and see if I'm there. I don't mind getting bugged if there's a problem, I don't handle much on the forums these days so having my usual forum-ninjas at work is always a help.
$400 a month? As a university student getting fucked over by housing fees, I can officially say fuck you that's a good price for something that huge GOD DAMN IT. And sorry about that mum thing, I don't know what's worse, a mum that flips out or a mum that'd drink it and ask you to buy another bottle. :v
Friggin aye Dai, with the good comes the bad and the bad should sort its self out over time? NO BOTHER For me, the good of today being I got full confirmation I've got into the uni course in London I wanted, the bad is that I found out the backup of photos I took from March and going back are all gone. The few I have on Flickr are all that are left. Feels bad man.
@ijyt- my friend has that mom. He HAD a massive savings for college, but it has since been squandered on lots and lots and lots of booze. He's now working at wal mart to pay for classes at a community college. wargh
Saw this on DigitalRev and thought it was fucking ace: :v:

Just got fucking braces..
Just got fucking braces..
You and me both, fucking hate them. But if all goes well I will get them off in September/October!

Never looks right. Kudos to kai for the floater. I'm gonna post some cool floatin' in the inspirational thread, 500px just put out a quick journal
You and me both, fucking hate them. But if all goes well I will get them off in September/October!
I gotta cope with them for like fucking five years.
its someone sticking a shovel into a pile of stones or something also got my new laptop and it's fucking ace
grats. I really like the 'challenge the photographer below' thread compared to the weekly challenge. It's much more fast-paced, as people race to respond to a challenge.
I gotta cope with them for like fucking five years.
advice: don't go 7 months without an appointment (unless they tell you). my ortho got so angry with me that when I went back she ranted at me in Chinese. but then she gave me a hug and asked how I had been. she's like my mother or something. :v: it just makes it take longer. but also, why 5 years? do you have seriously old school braces or seriously messed up teeth?
I have a feeling my dentist should have signed me up for braces a few years ago, my teeth don't look great but he doesn't think they're bad enough for braces
No. 1: Cueball - where is my fucking unboxing you know I'm buying the same one ;) No. 2: Published again. http://www.informededinburgh.co.uk/whats-on/interview-alexander-mccall-smith-on-the-world-according-to-bertie/
Just got fucking braces..
I've had mine for like 2 years. The first week is worse than hell. But you get use to them.
What's the ruling on taking DSLRs to parties? There's a pretty big dinner party tomorrow at a close friend of mine's and I do want to take my camera, but I don't wanna look like a douche with a massive fat camera should I take it?

I get too self conscious with my camera to be adventurous with it at formal events, so I just leave it if I think it will be like that. If I'm with my friends or something more casual you'll find me with full 5D + 24-70 action.
take it and if you don't like using it, dump it in a bag

guys how do i recover pictures from a formatted/corrupted card
guys how do i recover pictures from a formatted/corrupted card
If it's been formatted I don't think you can, if it's been corrupted you may be able to fix it but data on flash storage isn't stored like data on hard drives so you won't be able to recover files the same way
I recovered stuff from a formatted card the other day, the images were perfectly intact, though the metadata was all gone. As long as you haven't written anything more to the card, they should be fine. I did it with the "Deep Scan" setting using Piriform's Recuva tool.
they're all raw
