How limited are jpegs compared to RAWs when it comes to editing?
I could take thousands of more photos during fieldwork if I shot in jpeg.

Harder to change exposure, unable to change lightbalancing.
Here's a nice read on it.

Recently started on the yearbook staff for my highschool as the main photographer. I'm going to use my own gear though opposed to what they supply for students to use, since all their gear feels really used, and I'm much more used to the feel for Nikon DSLRs. The feel and layout of Canon cameras just feel weird to me.
Hey guys. I haven't been here in a while, but i'm that guy who got the D40 from his teacher, and then was hired to go on a trip to Washington D.C. with them as a photographer. All the kids were 13-14, so they're kinda young in the photos, but I still think I got a few good ones. I'm just starting to skim through them now, but this one stood out.

I took this at the base of the statue of liberty. How does it look?
Damnit, I missed creative photography...

I'm also yearbook/school photographer, but I supplied my own equipment because my school has none :v: I really like the job because it gives me a free pass to any school events such as prom or homecoming which easily saves me $100.00. Plus I get to hand out business cards which is totally bitchin.
My photo instructor runs the yearbook at my school, and the class next year has nobody from past photo classes in it, so he's asked me and a couple others to help out. I didn't even consider getting into events free, might have to see about how "official" this position will be...

If not ask him if you could help him even when he doesn't really need you just to make his job easier. Or you could ask him if you could have more of a leadership role in class doing stuff after school with students, at the least that would earn you bonus points if not more.
Always took pictures for my school, having free passes everywhere is awesome.

Well I'm not in the yearbook class is the thing, didn't fit into my schedule, so all my help is going to be extra-curricular anyway. If I was in the class I'd be guaranteed free passes to events, but I'm not sure if my position will be considered freelance or actually part of the yearbook team. I'll have to talk to him about it.
Piano exam in 11 hours. I am becoming nervous.
Relax, drink lots of water, don't suck :v:
I'll keep that in mind.
Is it wrong to get rid of all your bad photography on flickr?

It's always good to clean out some of those cobwebs. I cleared out like 300 pictures earlier this spring.
Now it's time to be cheesy.
You having nothing to delete bby.

I just realized I probably shot a roll of 400 ASA B&W film at 200 ASA. Probably won't be thát disastrous but still kinda sucks

Soo cheesy. thnx bby.
On topic: the amount of horrendously bad pictures i've found.
It's hilarious.
This fucking sucks.
I was going to go to Estonia next week, but it turns out my dad wasn't sure about going so he made my mum delay purchasing plane tickets until now.
But since he took so long, the prices have quadrupled and now I am going to have a holiday-less summer holidays. I told them to buy them repeatedly 4-5 weeks ago. Fuck this shit.
Also someone scratched the non-replaceable lens on my Lubitel today when I let them have a look at it.

are they from a dry spell in your past 365, or is it just random misfits?
One thing's for sure, it shows your taste and your ability is growing.
feelin' like kicking up a 365 again like bopie now that I'm remembering yours too. I JUST moved into a new apartment, AND it isn't the dead of winter in god damn chicago so I've got plenty of fuel to kick into it.
Y/N?

Do it, I dare you.
trying out a 4 stop push (iso 400 to 6400), it's scary having the film in the developer for 24 minutes...
good luck, sounds pretty fun
and risky
