Ugh have to convert the raws first. All my rage.
give the microsoft ICE program a try its stitching is reasonable and it has a option to upload the photosynth site which is really cool http://photosynth.net/view.aspx?cid=1361c4c6-d1d7-446f-8493-8acae018e83b

what do you guys think of this type of stuff?
That's bloody cool.
Thought I was hallucinating for a second.
Are those done with a single video still frame masked over the others, or a bunch of photos or what?

ever since I was little, pronouncing it 'Animated JIFF' always made me cringe.
Well I finished packing my "TIME TO DIP" personal and camera bag in case things get ugly with hurricane Gloria, as my town is in the direct path of the storm and we've been issued a voluntary evacuation.
anyone know how magnum deal with print request? i want a print of a specific eugene smith image but if you go on there site and look at the collectors prints he isnt even listed, wtf his WW2 images are better than capa's for fuck sake

there isnt all that much to discuss unless someone posts some 'content'
'content'
'content'
yeah like those animated gif things that we were looking at recently
I use 'we' because it makes me feel like I'm part of a community so I get that warm fuzzy feeling inside
Don't you just hate lenses that don't have the "Infinity" logo on them?

Don't think I've ever seen one.

Actually I just remembered that my cheap 75-300mm f4-5.6 II lens doesn't have any focus markings at all.
all of my AF lenses don't have any markings. Annoying
Does anyone else use a battery grip just because they have big hands?
One of the reasons I bought mine. Spider hands.
I understand what ya mean, kind of related but I like nikon's form better probably because I have smaller hands by... american standards? Like Ijyt, "spider" fingers. The third party battery grip on my D7000 is insanely comfy, though.
I'm getting mixed feelings on buying a Nikon D7000, since it will literally eat up my entire pay (1054€).
Someone give me some motivation to buy it, like what are its features that makes it stand out.

also me, gaboer, pickwickian and I think someone else use it.
I honestly have a feeling that they will announce a d7100 by the end of the year
I don't know, I feel like it would be a huge step up if they actually did, but there's no reason to believe that except that it's what they did with the d3000 and d5000
a 7100 is a bit farfetched. It took a while to jump from the D90 to the D7000, I think they're going to focus on the D4, D400 and maybe update the D700 to a D700s before updating the 7k again. There's no need to make a super-soccer-mom-friendly-kawaii-uguu version of the 7000 like the others, that's what the 5100 is for. 5100 even uses the same sensor.
