Im finally back from my friend's cottage. I only took 6 pictures. But I caught a 14 inch long small mouth bass. My first time bass fishing, too. I got so lucky.

I swear, do some people just ram filters up their photos' metaphorical arses while doing HDR too? So many just look so wrong, I can't imagine the only thing they are modifying is exposure.

They just tonemap the fuck out of it. I can deal with tonemapping if it's subtle. I tried doing a tonemapped HDR picture that didn't actually feel like being raped in the eyes:

I got this small break from University due to my trauma so I'll be going to be pretty busy shooting stuff from the protest.

I was wondering about sending an e-mail to the big concert arena place in Oslo and ask for a photo pass, as an opportunity to build a larger portfolio and get experience.
I like concerts and I like taking photos, I'm just not entirely sure how I'm going to ask for a photo pass and how I'm going to sound serious.
Anyone know?

You should emphasise the fact that you're a photographer who's willing to 'work for them' for free, like in the email say something like "I'm a talented photographer but I'm looking to get some more expeirence so could we make an arrangement whereby I photograph your events etc.? Like I said, I'm just starting out so it will be free of charge."
