Holy shit guys. Shot my first football game for the yearbook and met a local photographer last night. Ran into him again later in the game and he basically [i]insisted[/i] that I try out his 70-200 f/2.8 IS. I felt so unworthy! The shots I took were all mediocre, my camera and I simply could not do that lens justice. But just using it was a beautiful experience!

He also told me a story of how apparently earlier in the game he managed to drop a $3000 lens (not sure which) from the top of the bleachers to the ground. It somehow survived.

Another thing was that when it rained a created a diy rain shield out of a garbage bag.

Also I was taking pictures tonight and a homeless man thought my DSLR was a film camera. he said that soon their would be professional digital cameras that would overtake film. I didn't have the heart to tell him that I was using a digital camera so I just told him it was a film camera and he was on his way.

People were complaining about avatar cache, it took ages for avatars to change when someone changed their avatars.

Garry said it wouldn't be fixed.
