i have 6 pictures left on my roll of film, but i'm not sure what to take pictures of. i want to get the roll developed because it has wedding pictures on it, but i don't want to waste the last couple pictures. anyone have a challenge of some sort?
Self portraits. They're always fun.
I'm in if you guys are doing it
ill take a photo, but i mean a disposable is shit, not enough creative control. TRIP 35!
Self portraits. They're always fun.
I have my autowinder mounted to my camera (it comes with a leather case, which makes up for my crappy foam inside my camera and covers all the spots the light leaks) so i can't balance it or put it on a tripod :/
ill take a photo, but i mean a disposable is shit, not enough creative control. TRIP 35!
I'm trying to locate a cheap 35mm Rangefinder or TLR that is light enough to mail around otherwise it's going to be to expensive to keep mailing around a big camera.
Just use a random disposable.
Just use a random disposable.
That's what I was planning on using, it will be cheaper and easier in the long run.
ill take a photo, but i mean a disposable is shit, not enough creative control. TRIP 35!
The point of this would be for the locations, not the artistic technicalities of the photo. If technically good photos were wanted, then we could just organise 36 people to use their own camera and go out and take a picture.
So what should the disposable camera project thread be called? I was thinking something like" Cameramail V1".
Operation Winter Storm. Operation Silent Death. Operation Black Dawn. Project X-1. Project Falling Dagger. Project Red Eclipse. [editline]6th October 2011[/editline] Just a few names that might work.
The new thread has been made, here it is. It's been forever since I've made a thread, and this one is even of decent quality.
Went to a soccer game for my school today and was shooting some video. First of all my camera wasn't charged so I didn't get nearly enough shots to satisfy me. Secondly there was a dude next to me with two 5DMII (I think) both with some big ass L series lens. And I mean BIG. I was just there with my 60D and mediocre 18-135mm... Still pissed about it not being charged though. It was the championship and we won with a last minute goal....
Ended up grabbing Lucas (Guy who I was shooting) and shot some stuff after school. Here's the finished product. (Not edited by me, just helping a friend out who had to work)
god damnit, went to get a roll developed and then it didn't wind up in the camera i hate this camera, it's been nothing but problems and ruined so much of my film :( [editline]5th October 2011[/editline] oh wait my autowinder just pulled the film out of the canister, so it wouldn't wind in lovely
My friend just told me that walmart called her and said all of her pictures turned out blank. She said she was using her fisheye camera from Urban outfitters. Sucks :C
i was using my ae-1 program i had wedding photos on that roll :/
Alright guys, I need to get this out there. I have a problem. That problem is Facepunch, or, more broadly, the internet. It's distracting - in fact, it's too distracting. I have a lot going on in my life right now, and I just can't handle the distraction anymore. I'm taking ridiculous classes with insane loads of work, and this procrastination, while not preventing me from getting my work done, is costing me valuable time. Top that off with cross-country, yearbook, class vice presidency, and various other responsibilities, and it results in my getting virtually no sleep. Couple that with various stress factors (relationships, the recent passing of my step-mother, etc.) and it just gets too overwhelming. I can't live like this anymore; it's hurting my performance in all those aforementioned responsibilities, and while I probably have more of a life this year than any year past, it's draining me horribly. I'm going to be taking a leave from Facepunch. I'm not asking for a ban as I hope to someday return (albeit in smaller doses) but this is just getting ridiculous. It's been great communicating with all of you through the Photography forums; you guys have really taught me a lot and inspired me. But I think it's time I say goodbye, until I get my life under control. I don't know if any of you even know who I am since I'm not a fervent poster, especially recently, but nonetheless I must bid you good gentlemen adieu. Until we meet again, Facepunch.
There's a hand held tool that samples the ambient light, and gives you the values of shutter speed, aperture, ISO speed, flash intensity, etc depending on the light intensity and settings. What is this tool called?

[release]
Mapping Cleanliness: Roomba Vacuum Art
For those of you who are love lasers, robots and household chores, here is the perfect activity for you. Artists from around the world have been attaching various lights on top of Roomba vacuums, the saucer-shaped vacuuming robots straight out of the Jetsons, and taking long-exposure photographs documenting their automated excursions across the floor. The results are wild, like scenes from Tron or a tripped out Dan Flavin-themed party. Click for more. The designs are particularly interesting when seen as eccentric colored maps of their respective rooms. The Roomba vacuum is known for sending out infrared sensors to calculate the size of the room it is inhabiting and using object sensors to detect any obstacles in the room, such as furniture. When it bumps into an object, the robot performs a sequence of actions of backing up, rotating, and moving forward, repeating this sequence until it finds a clear path. Thus, the designs captured in these long-exposure prints are maps of the most efficient ways to thoroughly travel across the entire area of the room. Layered on top of one another, these neon paths create exquisite geometries. The movement of the Roomba, captured in photography, is seen here as the artistic product of both a meticulous algorithm and chance. Used a film camera today, was a Canon F1 I think? Lots of old Canon's, Nikon's and Pentax being passed about. Built like a friggin tank. I hope to loan out a film camera tomorrow and put a few rolls into it.
All my rage into panorama stitchers. Even though I can see how the images obvious go together they can't, at all. Cunts.
Use photoshop's automated stitcher. Best one I've used to date.
light meter!
Aww how can I not guess that Thanks m8

So, apparently the photography society at my Uni has shut down and I'm thinking of starting it again - just so I could get use of the darkroom. I guess having 'president of the Kent photographic society' wouldn't look bad on my cv either.
Use photoshop's automated stitcher. Best one I've used to date.
It was the worst out of all of them. Thankfully Microsoft ICE saved the day, an absolutely brilliant piece of tech.

I'll take a look at Microsoft ICE though.
It kept refusing to even try to align the images.
