if your pictures involve arranging colors into perfect arrays, yeah stay away from editing forever :v:
Noob question:
What does a film scanner exactly do? Is it right to assume that I can just put my filmroll straight from the camera into the scanner, and I can get the pictures digitalized? Or do I still need to get my negatives first?
What does a decent film scanner cost? I don't want anything very expensive as I am not at all looking for professional gear.
Develop the roll first, otherwise it would get ruined.
So how do i develop this? I only need to take the film out of the canister right?
like that
I'm going to a concert tomorrow most likely low lights and the venue doesn't allow flash attachments any recommendations as to ISO and F/Stop would be the best?

f/0.5, ISO 102400
Damn, this week's been a shitty one for me in photography terms.
First, as soon as i go to buy Lightroom/Photoshop, my credit card stops working.
Then, I take my prepaid film to the photo shop, and it's gonna take 2 weeks to develop, when it normally takes a couple of days .
I have, however managed to set side 1,000 bucks to spend camera gear, and one of the stores here is having a sale on GoPro cameras.
f/0.5, ISO 102400
my pinhole camera doesn't have that option wtf????

poke more holes so the film can breathe duhh
poke more holes so the film can breathe duhh
it only takes digital photos...........
I hate it when my pinhole camera starts only taking digital photos.

well that's what you get for buying a cheap pinhole camera! a good one cost easily $800+

I got 4, and it was the same blue spot.
Entered some photo thing. http://metrophotochallenge.ca/ca2011
Mother showed it to me. Seemed interesting. I don't feel proud of myself for entering though. Most of the entries from others are pretty bad.
This site has a good repository of "before" and "after" photos with OOC and edited photos

looks good if you don't see the before right next to the edit. That face is REALLY brought out, which looks cool if you don't see how not shiny leathery it is

I think it works if the wall in the back remained as it was. At least that's really what's bugging me. And maybe a little toning down on the face.

just posting an example of what the site is for

Side note: my sister a while ago bought an old Polaroid I-Zone camera with 3 packs of film a while ago she never uses, and I tried using it today, about 1 or 2 of the 8 exposures I made actually came out. The film though, is roughly 35mm in size, so I'm planning to devise a way to use it on my MX ala bopie.
I google'd "i_still_believe_in_you" and this was one of the first results.
Reminiscent of old people falling for the Nigerian prince thing.

Is anyone good at panoramas? Got one stitched up with Microsoft ICE but there's just one tiny seam that ruins the whole thing, but I'm shit at patching stuff like that up.
You could try out Hugin if that works. Works well for me
Can anybody suggest some good tips or resources on how to photograph gadgets/phones decently? I've got a Canon EOS 550D with a 35-70mm 3.5-4.5 lens and I've been trying to take photos of my iPhone 4 for practice, but the screen always comes out badly. It looks fine through the viewfinder but I'm not sure what settings I should be using to capture the screen properly.
