£300 with 2 days left and with buy it now at £450. You'd get a 1D and the only lens you could use would be the 50mm f/1.8 which you complain is too tight.
not on a 1.3x crop!
Getting a 1D Mark II would be a pretty sideways move in terms of image quality, considering it's 4 years older than a 1000D, unless you're going to be physically abusing your camera and want the toughness. You could just get a 1000D battery grip to hold it in portrait.
i am getting a grip with the 430ex and triggers ill stick to 1000D for now
something seems odd about that auction's description
My computers going so slooow. Why does cropping need a progress bar?
Insert floppy disk 3 to crop image

[editline]7th November 2011[/editline]
How do you know that? Quoting established editors who call it iMovie Pro/HD? My lecturer said its better for shorts, but prefers 7.
My buddies and fellow video editors all have macs and I've used iMove, FCP and FCP X. And I can use FCP fine, but when I try and use FCP X it just isn't good. There a lot of extra stuff that's needed to be done to get something simple done.
Post a link when it's done!
I put it in the videography thread but I might as well post it here too

Do you guys ever ask to take photos of strangers? Do you guys carry your camera out a lot just in case or actually go for shoots?
I usually don't take pictures of people I don't know, but I'm usually carrying my camera around anyway. Never know who or what you'll come across. And I've been thwarted by my campus squirrels many times, I'll see them in a great position for a picture, but by the time I get it out, they've moved. Clever little buggers.
i am getting a grip with the 430ex and triggers ill stick to 1000D for now
keeping the 1000D, gonna get the 30 1.4 for christmas and use random bits of money etc to buy the 430EX
Do you guys ever ask to take photos of strangers? Do you guys carry your camera out a lot just in case or actually go for shoots?
I don't carry it around when I walk to class, but my camera bag lives in my car. If I'm going somewhere special I'll certainly be driving, and that's when I get good photos.
