How about you get the 30mm and tell whoever broke your iPhone to get it fixed?
because it was an accident and I don't want someone with little money having to pay out the fucking ass for something he didn't really do.
You're a nice friend. Also just saw Bill Bailey. Lmao'd.
entered a competition, I hate how they make you describe your photo.... the point of a photo is that it's up to the viewer to interpret it (for me, at least). So I gave up and went full pretentious: (run by the local government)

Yay my first stock photos are online! Shutterstock declined my first portfolio but Dreamstime, and Bigstock have accepted some out of my first batch of 10. Still waiting to see what 123RF does.
submit 30 photos of "businessman trying to hold way too many limes", I'm sure the stock industry needs more of that, not to mention trendy people laughing at their food but seriously kudos, it's a good side source of income if you keep pumping content into the machine
Currently in the University's dark room taking an equipment inventory. We have 4 enlargers, plenty of trays, some photographic paper, drums, spools and reels. Pretty much everything that's needed except for the chemicals. This is going to be sweet.

If there is anything I'd ever want to do, it is to go to Ireland/Scotland and take pictures during summer. You guys really have the most beautiful enviroment up there. Huge green hills without trees, contrasted by gigantic mountains. It'd really be the perfect location for me. That and Nice in France, those endless colorful fields is like sex to the eye. If I only had money and time :( [editline]17th November 2011[/editline] I mean god damn Nice is nice
Yeah, it kills me that I'm stuck in the city due to classes and lack of expendable money. There's so many places I want to go to, to take pictures.
I don't want to wait till christmas for a god damn Epson V500 i might just buy it

I'm picking up a set of cookie cutter/stamps for the upcoming bake sale for the college photo club. I'm thinking it would be hugely successful if we not only laid out all these cookies, but displayed a few cameras to match. I'm sure just having my TLR out would draw a bit more interest to the table, I know it would probably be necessary to explain the TLR shaped cookie :v: http://photolover.diyphotography.net/camera-cookie-cutters/
Got inducted into the studio area today, so they trust me now to move around expensive lighting equipment and flash power packs. Was a lot of fun messing around with the different light setups but I didn't bring my camera in because I only went to sleep at 6.50am that morning. Frig me Canon DSLR's are fiddly as frig.
Hm.
I have been blinded. So many colours. My eyes couldn't handle it.

I want to make a shit ton of time lapses. But I don't want to destroy my camera within a year. If only there were a camera specialized in time lapses
One of my photographs was chosen to be in the Canterbury calendar :) Chaucer Fields by edwin.quast, on Flickr It's so nice seeing it printed. :v: Damn ninja.
I bet it is, congratulations! How did you get it submitted? competition?
Yeah, there's a communal project going on in a few towns around Kent, where they're getting one photograph for every day of the year and putting it into a book. They requested that one of the shots I took was good enough to be one of the 12 for the calendar which is pretty sweet.
You look like you don't give any shits at all.
That's everyday stuff for master Pickwickian [editline]19th November 2011[/editline] Also quick question. Aperture high or low when photographing space?
That's everyday stuff for master Pickwickian [editline]19th November 2011[/editline] Also quick question. Aperture high or low when photographing space?
Two problems. The higher the aperture the easier it is to focus (not that it makes that significant of an impact anyway since you are just focusing to infinity), but then you need longer exposures to let in more light which in turn gets your night sky all blurred. So you want a short enough exposure to not get movement, but you also want to be able to focus on the stars.
Getting a focus on the nightsky is a bitch if there are no radiotowers or something close-by. Also, I just looked up Lightroom and holy shit 280 euros. It's a software Adobe, not a spaceship.
