holy shit i need to see some photos from that
[editline]1st December 2011[/editline]
I'm hoping he's just removing himself from distraction during the end crunch at school kudos if that's it
Got grounded, not exactly that much of kudos anyways. Well might as well type a story out here. It all began on a random school day, quite a normal day besides the fact i had multiple test/quizzes on that day. Now, most of those went relatively well besides my math test. That test i got a *cringe* "F" on it and well I should have actually been more prepared in it, etc. Anyways i still passed math. Note, that day my parents told me that if I got another F on a test I have to deactivate my facebook and that they would take away the camera. And well that happened with a english grammer test that also gave me a relatively horrid time (and so did the rest of my class mind you). And that concludes basically everything. tldr grounded, no camera Problem with not having a camera would usually not pose that much of a problem, alright no pictures; but then i received this email School newspaper I have failed you ;_;
I wonder why this guy wasn't with his camera? Caution, may induce cringes.

It's the equivalent of taking away a math student's calculator, retarded.

keyrings and carabiners why did I never think of that
I'm very very likely finally getting my DSLR I've waited for for so long. I want to read and learn everything I should know for being a decent photographer. Anyone got some material?
Read about the exposure triangle, and basic composition, google for those things. The most important thing to do is go out and practice and experiment with photography, instead of slaving away reading theory. This is probably the quickest way to learn, once you understand the basics.
Got some sweet candid video today. It's bloody funny. It looks staged, but I managed to capture some really nice moments tonight.
take a picture of the back and i'll try and figure it out but tamron used to be called promaster in the 90's (IIRC), and so the lens would be mildly newer than that, so it is either Pentax, Alpha, Nikon, or Canon. if you take a picture of the back though I can probably figure it out for you.

lens
Looks like pentax mount to me.
Looks like pentax mount to me.
Yep! Fits on my ME Super... Now if only I could get the damn mount to stay on the lens....
are the screws on the metal loose or something?

(EF mount is not original but it works fine). That 28-200 was the first Aspherical superzoom lens and i read about it having quite decent performance. That P/KA mount you have on it right now goes for quite some money on Ebay, because it has the electrical mount. Last time i saw some being sold it went for like 40 euro, and that's quite some money for just a lensmount imho. I have a Tamron 500mm F/8 SP adaptall-2, and i still have a Nikon AI-s mount laying around, but i don't have a Nikon mount camera any more, so i got a Canon FD and EOS mount for it. Works quite good. There is also a 90mm f/2.5 Adaptall-2 lens. That lens is razorsharp and quite cheap for a macrolens. I believe that the adaptall system is the best lens mount adaptable to every dslr on the market right now.
Here's a great big list of all the injuries had by the 45 photographers in the Nat Geo photographer society. http://thephotosociety.org/reality-check/ Includes multiple instances of a disease in one person, so you get numbers like 90. I'm amazed at this, seems like one of the most hazardous jobs in the world, meningitis, loa loa worm in eye, malaria, PTSD, the list is ridiculous. Also worth reading are these little quote snippets from various photographers. http://thephotosociety.org/reality-check/vignettes/ This one really got my attention.
I got Meningitis (most likely) from a kid I handed candy to in Niger in 2005. Luckily it was two days before I flew home so I got to spend a week in a U.S. hospital. I was also bit by a solifuge overnight in the Sahara and lost feeling in right foot for 6 months. I could not wear respirators under my bandana all the time on the ship-breaking story as it would have gotten me kicked out at some point. Consequently I was exposed to asbestos, vaporized lead paint, furoxins, burning styrofoam and other carcinogens for about 5 hours every day for a week and half. On our 2005 expedition, we got stuck sleeping outside in Niamey, Niger. Eight people got Malaria including a pregnant woman and myself. Our team in 2006 took a bus from Agadez to Niamey to go home and the driver drove too fast and rolled the bus. Team injuries included a broken back, broken arms, broken toes, concussions, and lots of severe bruises and cuts. The expedition team I was on got robbed by 5 guys with guns, who slashed the tires of our trucks and stole a great deal. It was in the middle of the Sahara Desert and was over financial and tribal issues . . . also a driver rolled a Land Rover that dislocated a team member’s shoulder.
Poor guy. My respect for Nat Geo Photographers is huge.
I'm going to a car boot sale tomorrow, I will be keeping a look out for cameras. Hopefully a Zenit or something will be for sale. Maybe a nice Praktica or a Pentax. I bought some Boots branded film the other day and I think it may be rebranded Fujifilm 200, any way to be sure?
check the negs?
check the negs?
I have not used it yet so I might use it in a few days, even if its just to find out. Its made in Japan if that helps. Looking at this site http://www.imageaircraft.com.au/DXsim/ and putting all the things in it it ame out as an unassigned Fuji film

I don't know if I'd use it since I don't use my Pentax much and when I do, I typically use the 50mm. If I were to sell it, should I sell it separately or together with the lens? I also see a lot of other lens sitting around with the Adaptall lens mount. Any chance maybe one of those would be worth something?

I have to make a panorama for my photo class and was wondering if there's a program to stitch together images in raw format. So far I can't find any programs, and I don't have programs such as photoshop
not in raw no every raw image gotta be processed
Download the photoshop trial if you have to. It's only 30 days, but if you really need to do it with RAW then photoshop will work. I know microsoft has some software for stitching panoramas. You'll need to convert to JPG though.

The 28-200 is a lens that is widely offered on ebay, so if you offer it with the mount, it wouldn't get any more attention than the separate mount. There's a website with some good info on Adaptall lenses, here it is: http://adaptall-2.org/ (the website is not complete though, the 28-200 is not on there for example) Almost every lens from the Adaptall-2 SP line is a lens worth something at least. Among the Adaptall-2 non-SP lenses there are some good lenses, the 135 f/2.5, 24 f/2.5 and 28 f/2.5 do have their share of fans. I would love to own the 90mm f/2.5 SP macro lens some time. It seems a good alternative for the newer tamron 90mm macro AF version.
