i challenge you to not include any homeless people
I know better than to just pull that stuff off now. If I do get into talking with a real homeless guy (not those annoying professional panhandlers you find outside of the train station), you can bet I'll be getting his story and buying him lunch, and even then I'd probably refrain from taking pictures because that's just damn awkward. it's official, I'm 24 and therefore even less believable when buying stuff at the liquor store
Going to Hawaii with both film and digi with two rolls of Velvia, cya boys.
Go to North Shore. Waves are biggest this time of year. Also whale season. Go find some.

Happy birthday Daijitsu :) also how do you guys carry your camera and lenses about? Because i don't have a bag for my 7D, and I'm not sure what to do/whats the best option.

I and I'd say many others can vouch for Lowepro for quality bags. May need to try them out though, my 180 AW Nova is a bit too large, but it just about fits a beastly Zenza Bronica with a lens attached and two other lenses, and my D7000 + Tamron 17-50 2.8.

When I don't have my camera bag with me, I just wrap the camera up in a hoody and stick it in the bottom of a backpack.
Ahh but bags are expensive and i have no money left lol :( i don't want a massive obvious camera bag though if you know what i mean
Well I don't mean you have to spend tons on a camera bag, but don't cheap out on something silly. I had a really poor camera bag to start with, and while my D3000 was fine inside of it, my D7000 would certainly not be. A Lowepro 160 AW is £25 for example, but with a 7D and some lenses you my want to go larger. The Lowepro bag doesn't scream expensive cameras, your average duck won't know who Lowepro is, while a big shiny Canon or Nikon bag wouldn't be the smartest thing to carry gear around in.
just ghetto-scanned my first roll of 120 film. Used my dads Nikon D60, a lamp and some other bullshit to keep it all in place. Gonna see if it worked right now oops, wrong thread. Check the film thread ;))))))
happy birthday dai i hope you have fun on your photo gig
am i the only one who constantly imagines slideshows and movies in my head whenever i listen to music?
It turns out to do photography at college I need to make a portfolio, is there any guides to making a portfolio, or some tips you could give me?
It turns out to do photography at college I need to make a portfolio, is there any guides to making a portfolio, or some tips you could give me?
15-20 photos with a theme or two is good to have so its not all random, present it very nicely, with a quality folder or something and the photos printed on high quality paper. I was asked how I would present or publish photos and I just thought a book or an e-book, somehow relating to theme. So work around that.
on the brink of getting a canon EF 1.4 for £275.. whereas the 1.8 is £90... what are you guys thoughts on the 1.4 I've heard it can be hazy and vignette a lot below f/2 and you get loss of colours.. but I'm not sure. is it worth the price tag?
woo, it snowed! but it's the shit kind of snow, half of it's slushy wet shit and the rest is slippery ice. I guess i'll see if the snow gets any thicker then I'll go take photos of the mountains or something.
iphone 3gs + £200 or a 10-20?

I may be wrong though, so someone feel free to correct me.

I'm all over the place. Also, going to Chicago on the 21st with my german class. Tempted to bring my camera but worried about the cold. Should it be okay?
am i the only one who constantly imagines slideshows and movies in my head whenever i listen to music?
There's lots of stuff that I listen to and come up with crazy fight scenes or awe inspiring city scenes in fact there's one song I know from a chicago-based band that really captures the feel of traveling into the city and taking stuff in, it actually has the melodic chime sound that the amtrak train makes when the doors are about to close. Riding the train through a dozen stops whilst half sleeping just a bit ago, I'd hear that jingle then the beat would kick into my head again [editline]7th December 2011[/editline]
iphone 3gs + £200 or a 10-20?
I will sell you my 3g and 3gs combined for a 10-20 send the payment first you can trust me ;)

oh god the knockoff chinese electronics are spreading to air conditioners I miss being the only dai after the old japanese electricity supplier died. I didn't even know they existed til I tried searching myself oh joy, if I search I get my deviant art, youtube and livejournal, three things I've neglected for three years. I forgot I even had a livejournal (made it for my cosplay project but found a better outlet), until it emailed me yesterday to say "hey daijitsu, did you know daijitsu's birthday is coming up?!"
