where can i buy this?
Just had to turn back home on a shoot on some hills. Reason: ice forming too fast on camera. D90 still works.
where can i buy this?
snip have to fix some typos
So i've bought my 7D and 50mm 1.4. I'm considering doing a 365 at some point in the next few months. Do you guys suggest i have a wider lens for the project? I've always wanted to do one but film has its limitations.
a little rage right now BUT WHY DO YOU SIGN ME OUT EVERY TIME I CLICK OFF THE PAGE FLICKR, DO YOU REALIZE HOW ANNOYING IT IS.
snip have to fix some typos
why not change the layout while your at it? it seemed kind of distracting from the preview, need more pages or less images but a layout like used in The Americans is better imo

Defrosted my camera Going to process the images soon.
Because i will be able to take more varied shots in different situations, where i am limited with a 50mm, essentially an 85mm with a 1.6 crop factor.
I just shot almost all of my images (both for a gig and personal running about) in chicago the other day using a 50 on my D7000. I assure you, the lens is a great all-arounder, so long as you have a little distance. Are you getting the kit lens with your 7D alongside the 50, or did you just order just the body and the 50? a majority of my own 365ish thinger has been 50mm, though some has been via film so the crap factor is null. Still waiting on my damn scanner to come in the mail. speaking of the other day, the guys I did the shoot for already chose one of the pictures. Not nearly my favorite, but it's still cool seeing it up. Granted, it's winter in chicago, but I warmed up the shot for sake of looking natural for having rolled up sleeves v:v:v

Im using an FD 50mm 1.4 on my SLR and an FD 28mm too.
if you're used to a 50 and 28, I might suggest at least digging up an older EF kit 17-55 at a pawn shop or something, from what I can tell it's still pretty sharp at the widest (27mm equiv?) so it'd be a good one for when you need the widest shots. I could be wrong, haven't toyed with canon's kit lenses but I know that with the nikon 18-105 kit, it's godly at 18. Pickwickian is a beast with that thing. I wonder how the nikon kit 18-55 compares to the 18-105, all I can find with a quick google search is "the 18-105 will always be better from 56-105 ;)" junk

I've got some examples of mine from a few years ago for the Nikon 18-55 with my old D50: It's not too bad I don't think. I mean, hey, it focuses the light onto the sensor...
pretty cool shots dude. Also i forgot to ask, where/how do you get your film developed? And how much does it cost you?
pretty cool shots dude. Also i forgot to ask, where/how do you get your film developed? And how much does it cost you?
Depends where I am. In London, I got to a place on Brick Lane. Here in Canterbury, I go to the local camera shop to get it done. They're super nice there. And all my recent shots from Peru were developed there. They certainly didn't know how to take care of the negs, but I kinda like all the scratches on all those photos. It depends what you're asking for as well, and whether or not it's colour or black and white. For a standard c-41 processing with a cover sheet you're only looking at a couple of quid. To burn them onto DVD, add another 2 pounds or so more - so usually 4-5 pounds. For black and white it's a little more.
cool thanks, i'll have to get them done on brick lane then if you can vouch for it. Im going to get my own scanner so i'll only need them developed.

Also, if you go to Jessops, they give you a 24 roll of film when you hand one in to be developed - which can be pretty useful when you want to shoot some film immediately after getting that "Can't wait to get this role of film to be developed" rush.
I shit you not, I found Cueball's chubby younger brother.

Any one have a chance tonight to capture the lunar eclipse?
Any one have a chance tonight to capture the lunar eclipse?
Yeah, I live in north america. But I think I gotta get up early at around 4:00 AM. I'll try to get some decent photos

I need some ideas for christmas. I need something to record audio with (zoom h1 or h2?), a new lens for, mainly, video (EF 50mm f/1.8?), a tripod, a camera bag and what else?

Also the focusring is tiny so manual focussing with that lens is a bitch. For photography though, that lens is fucking great.
