Last year "nigger" was acceptable at my lunch table. The 2 black kids who sat there said it was OK.
I asked black kids why they called each other niggers before. They said it's because they identified with the word, since it was used on their fathers and grandfathers growing up and after a while, it really grew into their culture and became a part of what they perceive their Identity.
Kind of died a little inside when I learned that.

if any of you are massive nerdes and like the Star Wars Extended Universe, I STRONGLY suggest watching the Clone Wars series. The art style is pretty childish, and it has its bad episodes, but all in all it's this really brutal exposure of the Universe, think KotOR: The Show (in terms of how it shows the jedi as this hypocritical group of assholes also mandalorians).
It also makes up for the 3 prequels.

I used to play piano. At the time, I really wanted to quit, and eventually 5th grade me threw enough of a fit that my parents didn't bother finding me a new piano teacher. I kinda regret it now, when everyone else has an instrument or some kind of talent, and all I can say is "I know useless trivia and I read books".

actually they exist for pretty much the same purpose. Bit more of a dark look at the star wars universe: something usually only the comics got into.
Also Genndy Tartakovsky made them. And he made some of the best cartoons of all time.

odds are you have only seen the movie and haven't actually watched the show. The Clone Wars covers what happened in the 2D clone wars and then gets super lore crazy. Sure it has its kiddy episodes but there's some super grim shit, like when [sp]anakin thinks obi-wan is dead and he starts going into this awesome rage and kicks ass[/sp] not to mention how it covers the mandalorians and the clones personally.
I remember watching an episode of Clone Wars and there were two Stealth Droids outside a door and they were like, talking out loud like. "Breaching, hostiles inside roger roger" or whatever it was.
And I couldn't help but think to myself. "What the fuck? If they're stealth ROBOTS why do they talk out loud like that? Can't they transmit information to each other silently or some shit?"

I signed up for both Geometry AND Algebra 2 (the second being a jr. level class) and they actually let me do both this year

I haven't brought myself to watch it because I actually completely assumed the visual style was meant for 8 year olds.
