I wish there was a Modern Settlers of Catan. We could call it Industry of Catan. Roads would now be highways, settlements - towns, cities would look modern, ships would be cargo ships. The addition of an oil field required to produce many items making it a strategic and essential resource. Possibility of adding airplanes, trucks instead of the wagon/caravan etc. I wish I could make my own pieces, that'd be bitching.

Have you tried Starfarers of Catan? if not you should check it out. That game is the tits.

Nah, just ordered every single expansion for Catan. Once we learn them all we're buying all the extensions and combining them into a huge 34 victory point game.

They're pretty compatible to me, we're going to pick and choose, make some edited rules for our game. We're not the first to make huge games.
