the shells are on the desk, the shotgun is in my lap, why can't i do it? it feels like it'd be a bad return on the investment my parents made to keep me alive and well. too many people are counting on me to persevere, i feel obliged not to give up. i feel like i owe them something for giving me this tumultuous, depressing life to lead. every time i think about what they gave me, i end up taking out the shotgun once again, just to start over.
