parents are religious as fuck and when I toyed with the idea of joining up in the forces they said they'd disown me fuck back to the lab i guess
My parents either don't give a fuck or never take my considerations seriously whenever i've mentioned thinking about joining in the past. I think i'll just stay a civvie unless i can move to the USA and join the air force once i become a citizen or something, none of the British armed forces interest me at all.

my mom said she'd rather me get fit and try for USAF Pararescue than become a fighter pilot. I don't even.
joining the military is a very good way to get citizenship
You can join the military without citizenship? I never knew this, but that sounds like a good idea.

I'll easily move to america, join army, acquire citizenship and then leave army :v:
I'm going to join the Canadian Military to gain citizen ship so I can avoid the US draft.
I'm still highly considering joining the Army and trying to fly choppers, but it seems like such a tough route its bringing me down. Also, my major's super fun and in demand so I might just stick with that, but it will never be as cool as flying.
I couldn't join the army because muscle disease.
I couldn't join the army because I'm a pussy.

Go for the military. That's what I'm doing.

If I could join the military I could join the British army because as a Canadian I'm a Commonwealth citizen.
Just going to let you guys know that a lot of officer positions aren't being filled by people with degrees. The military, in it's infinite wisdom, has finally come to realize that enlisted men with experience in the field tend to know more than somebody fresh out of college.
I don't give a flying fuck if I'm an officer or not. It's just a good fallback if my 2 other plans don't work out
