The challenge is that it kind of weird to chat with random strangers at night unless you have a good reason. Most people are walking around with their own friends and stuff.
However, if you're at a school with lots of booze flowing you can find some really hilarious things going on.

either that or it only works for a few specific games (I had mirrors edge in there so I don't know why that one didn't work for me).
