JEEP for the reasons I posted on the last page. The 4.0 I6 has been proven to last well over 300k miles.
Do you have a budget in mind?
Preferably under 3 or 3.5k.
get a volvo and tape "ford" over the logo thingy
So the car speak on the last page got me thinking. The day of me getting my license is on the horizon, so I've been thinking of what car to get. However, my dad put a strong limit on my selection by saying that I can only get an American-made car. I also would prefer a manual. Currently I'm looking at gen3 or gen4 Mustangs or a Jeep CJ/Wrangler. Thoughts?
do NOT purchase a mustang thats gen3 or gen4 not even joking they're fucking everywhere and they suck donkey dicks Purchase a 90's Jeep Sahara, those are fucking awesome and I don't see them enough

Also, I like the looks of the fox-body. :c
Gen3 mustangs are heaping piles of shit and are not worth the money. My parents used to own a mustang II and it was terrible. Do not waste your money.
You could always join the Camaro club with Foos and I.
Yes..... YES........ A Gen 3 or 4 would probably be in your price range in good quality, and maybe a Gen 2 if you're lucky, but Gen 4's are without a doubt the worst ever ewww Are you the kind of guy who wants to do maintenance and replacement of parts or do you just want your car to run forever? I have certainly seen some jeeps that continue to work regardless of small parts failing (like the speedometer and speakers and computer and seemingly everything else).
JEEEEEEEEEEEP. They're great vehicles, and they never break down if you take care of it. I kinda regret getting rid of mine. And they're fun as shit to whip around the mud or snow. If you do choose a jeep make sure you check for rust EVERYWHERE, especially the frame.
get one of these sexy bby's [thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/7d/04-05_Dodge_Stratus_RT_coupe.jpg[/thumb] oh so hot~~

Well with your budget, I'd say you could totally get an 80's Camaro in the shape you're looking for. Just start checking Craigslist obsessively, and be sure to bring a car buddy with you whenever you go to look at one.
Yeah right, car buddy. My dad and I are about the only ones in this town that actually car about cars. Literally every other car is a Camry or Taurus just coated in rust. I'm also possibly considering a 2004 Crown Vic PI. That'd be probably the one way I'd go with an auto trans.

Unless you can be sure its good, assume something in your budget is preparing to kill itself.

With only 1 rebuild at ~750k.
