I keep getting the urge to go outside and look at the stars when i'm up late, but i keep worrying that i'll wake someone up en-route to going outside and they'll ask what i'm doing.

Pity i didn't, there were some amazing clear nights during the summer so i kind of missed the window of opportunity.

Nowadays, LA is so bright that i can only see venus and low flying jets.

I've forgotten what it looks like to look up and see anything but planes. I seriously fucking hate this place. I'm not even a depressed person, and I don't hate society nor the people in it, but goddamn.

Following WWII a Soviet-Style expansionism began, the Soviet Union became very large but corruption was wild and eventually Lenin, Stalin and several other Communist Party members splintered off and a civil war began that ended in the conquer of all previous Soviet holdings by a revitalized Mongolian Empire.

The year is 2000. Since these major changes the world has been relatively peaceful. China had a prefer period of revolution and is still a Communist State, having absorbed some extra landmass. Alaska and Hawaii were sold to the USA. China negotiated Taiwan's inclusion into the Pacific Commonwealth when it was purchased from them.[/QUOTE]

Pretty easy, everyone sends in a turn to me and than I post them and their results or lack therefore of.

There is military, internal affairs, diplomacy and economy. You write a sentence or two to describe something and you have maybe three or four (although less or more is fine) events for each of them. I decide if they happen, don't happen, are really good for you or really bad for you.

India and France still owns a considerable amount of African holdings. There are a handful of independent African nations, South Africa being one of the few but mostly they've been long standing colonizes of European countries.

Also some colors look just like other colors, so it's confusing sometimes but I didn't want to leave countries gray or spend two days deciding the geo-politcs of a map for a forum game. And be forewarned that this was something me and my friends thought would be fun, we were going to play it semi-seriously. Kind of like our entire governments were run like an Onion skit. For example, The CSA is probably going to state-sponsor terrorism and use mustard gas liberally.

The Commonwealth of the Pacific had it's beginnings in the Second World War. Italy, Germany and Japan formed an alliance. During the war Japan conquered it's original holdings Korea, Australia and The Philippines. The war ended relatively quickly, without intervention from the West the Japanese Empire had little difficulty exploiting their new territories. Eventually a military-run government fell out of favor in the post-war economic climate. An age of prosperity followed, New Zealand applied to merge with the Japanese Economy and was eventually absorbed. Around the 1970's the Japanese government evolved into The Pacific Commonwealth. Taiwan was purchased from China and since than the country has taken a wild turn from it's original image. Now hosts a respectable Self-Defense Force and fierce Navy the Commonwealth is a prosperous nation that exports some of the finest goods in the world.
