I gave up on women. I don't meet any and the ones I don't I wouldn't really date. Chances are wildly out of my favor that if I meet one I like, they won't date me for some reason. I'm too shy to try most of the time, so I just gave up. If it happens, great but I'm done being proactive.

So today I bought some original WW2 web gear/surplus that was used on screen during Saving Private Ryan, in particular, the beach scene. so the SPR guys bought literally truckloads of helmets, web gear, uniforms, boots, etc. They thrashed them all during the beach scene, and were mostly gentle during the rest of the movie, spare the mud scenes and the really hectic scenes. After the movie people were done wrecking the gear, they dumped everything into dumpsters behind their sets, left to rot and rust. After they sat around long enough, a friend of mine bought 1/3rd of the entire prop collection. The stuff I bought has rust, corrosion, and sand on it, but I love that it was used on-screen in Saving Private Ryan. I bought a haversack, some HBT pants, these weird goggles that help gunners see/lead their tracers better (just like sunglasses with red lenses p. much, kind of like the kind that Jamie Hyneman wears), a mess kit, a mess kit pouch, a pistol belt, and on the way home I stopped by the surplus store and bought a M1 carbine pouch with 2 mags in it for 10 bucks (I don't even own a carbine but it was too cool to turn down :v:

I have M1 Carbine pouches. I loved shooting that thing.
