I got English class girl's number today at a speech and debate tournament.

I literally said "Hey Michelle, I don't think I have your number. Can I have your number?" and she was like "Sure!"

And now I have her number.

stepping out of your comfort zone and talking to a girl you think is cute is literally like what 95% of men can't do, and its all you have to do. When you talk to her try not to think of her as a potential date but rather somebody who may be good to talk too.

yep. Lab/collie mix. Interestingly enough he was one of three other dogs me and my parents saw of his litter. Him (the adoption people at ASPCA called him Kent), a black lab and a yellow lab that was already adopted. The ASPCA knew that the mom was a collie but didn't know the dad. When we picked them up the black lab was very quiet and seemed friendly enough, but was shaking like mad and never barked or whined at all. Charlie, or Kent at the time, was more of a puppy, very excited but also nervous. The ASPCA also told us he was the most competitive of his litter, and before he ate he would sit down and growl at his food bowl for a couple seconds. Now he weighs over 60 pounds and is terrified of the main street in my town.

I did not know the girl existed until earlier this year in my English class (the only class I have with her, pretty much the only 50 minutes every day I get to spend w/ her). And I didn't really notice her until we were put in the same group for an assignment on Lord of the Flies.

So there are three characters that we draw pictures of and describe in terms of goals/personality/motives etc. and I pick Jack, while she picks Ralph, and the other girl in our group picks Simon. They draw their characters like how you'd pretty much expect them to look, but my Jack had blazing orange hair, furious bloodshoot eyes, a beret, and sharp-ass motherfucking carnivore teeth (If you've ever read the book, this should make sense to you lol). I wasn't really taking the assignment seriously (still got an A), but she thought my picture was endearing or something. Because I'm "that kid" that cracks jokes in class and gets A's and does well on essays, I find it pretty easy to do whatever in that class and not feel self-conscious. She sits behind me, so every so often I take her paper and write something like "you're so beautiful, has anyone ever told you that?" and underneath draw a picture of an AK-74. Little things like this made her giggle, and she eventually stopped erasing my "love notes" and assault rifles and she'd just turn in her papers like that.

Then she helped me one night with my English homework; I left the worksheet at home and asked her for help. She ends up typing up the worksheet for me on Facebook messenger from her phone. I was at a loss of words and didn't really know how to thank her, but before I went to bed, I ended up baking her cookies. And then I gave her the cookies and she was really happy and she really liked them and yeah. I wear patches on the velcro-backings on my jacket at school, and in class she likes to tug at them and tear them off and play with them. I honestly don't mind, I think it's kind of adorable. Just like how she unbuckled the fasteners on my drop-leg holster when I wasn't paying attention on Halloween, or looked inside every pouch of my RRV to see what was inside.

Talking to girls really isn't hard. I've known this girl for probably less than two months, Taep. It's all about how you make yourself presentable and how approachable you seem.

I'm not even mad because you talked to a girl and I'm still here being forever alone. I'm just a little sad about getting rejected last night. Although it was more of a wait and see than a straight up rejection I guess.
