Gas masks in general are pretty fuckawful so I'd imagine that for non-military people who don't have to wear it for long periods of time while doing physical labor it doesn't matter.

Yeah, the M40's one sided filter actually allows you to get a cheek to stock weld on your weapon. The M50 also lacks a way to clear the mask without breaking the seal, unlike the M40. The M40 also has the canteen drinking straw so you can hydrate without breaking the seal. The M50 is a terrible design, I wonder why the hell the military even approved it.

TODAY WAS A GREAT DAY
I saw a girl I know in the hall I normally say hi too (don't have feelings for her or anything, I'm just polite/cordial with her) and she was with another really pretty girl I haven't seen before. The girl made eye contact with me, and said "you look nice" and kind of playfully smiled. I just froze like a deer in headlights, and after they walked past me I said "Me?" and she turned around and playfully said "yes, you!"
