We have to say it again, because it goes for both genders: There are no obligations outside of a relationship. People come up with bullshit, especially if you put them on the spot. For a simple, little example: I'll talk with some girl for 5 minutes or so and then say I've got to go to some meeting or talk to a teacher or something and it's not true but it's socially acceptable and things will be fine.
