Yeah, I was looking for one and they were like $80 for the whole gun. I found some for like $30 but they didn't have the front section.

I like the look of this one.
The front section actually decreases accuracy. The one you linked is the elite series so it'll already have decent range.
I'll probably get that Retaliator and a spare mag or 2, then paint it all cool like, then put my RVG and 230-lumen light on it. As soon as I get some kind of optic it'll go on there too.

So I just drew some generic woman, and the more I look at it, the creepier it looks. I made the eyes slightly too big I think so she has like a 1000-yard stare going on. I'll scan and post it in the morning.

I think it's half-decent for not really ever drawing anything that's alive. Most things I draw are inanimate objects or places.

The State of the Modern Infantry Rifle
George S. Patton once said during World War Two that “The M1 Garand rifle is the greatest battle implement of all time.” And during a war that introduced jet fighters, medium tanks, and nuclear weapons that was a lot to say about a foot soldier’s rifle. But when faced with the same question, would Norman Schwarzkopf say the same of the M16?
During the Second World War, rifles and other small arms were manufactured in either semi-automatic, which fired one bullet at a time, or fully-automatic, that fired as long as the trigger was pulled. Seemingly every country had semi-automatic rifles, the Americans with their M1 Garands, the Russians with their SVT-40, the Germans with their Gewehr 41 (which was a copy of the Soviet SVT-40), and even the Japanese had their own rifle, the Type 4.
In 1943, Germany developed a revolutionary new weapon, the MP43 (later called the STG, or Sturmgewehr 44). Initially disproved by Adolf Hitler, the MP43 nevertheless was put into production by German officers, who deployed the weapon in the Eastern Front. In 1944, Hitler learned of the existence of the weapon, and after being demonstrated the sheer effectiveness of it, immediately demanded that the new rifle be named Sturmgewehr, or STG44. The fearsome combat effectiveness of the weapon came from its 7.92x33mm cartridge, which was larger than that of a submachine gun, but shorter than that of a rifle. The standard rifle round used by the German Army in their Karabiner 98k rifle was the 7.92x57mm round, which was longer than the “x33” of the STG44. The standard German submachine gun round was the 9x19mm pistol cartridge. The Sturmgewehr could fire in fully-automatic more accurately than a submachine gun, and was lighter than any existing rifle or machine gun. Thus, the assault rifle was born.
Modern assault rifles, such as the M16 and the infamous AK-47, are found in hotspots all over the world. However, it is quite well known, even among those not very well acquainted with firearms and military history that the powerful AK-47 does not have the range and accuracy of the M16, but the accurate M16, lacks the stopping power of the Russian rifle. Weapons must balance a good rate of fire, with power, range, and accuracy. No weapon has all four. One must also take into account the weight of the weapon. No man wants to carry a heavy weapon into battle, let alone the ammunition for it.
In 1977, the Austrian firearms firm Steyr Mannlicher’s AUG assault rifle was put into production. It was the world’s first bullpup assault rifle, which broke new ground in the world of weapons design. An AK-47 follows contemporary weapons design, with the magazine and receiver before the trigger, and aft of the hand guard and barrel. But the bullpup design positions the trigger before the receiver and magazine, thus shortening the overall length of the rifle, making it more compact, without sacrificing barrel length. The AUG A1 was a very radical weapon, used by many countries, including Australia and Italy. Soon, other countries, notably France and the United Kingdom, developed their own rifles, the FAMAS and the L85. However, the bullpup rifle design didn’t come without faults. The shooter couldn’t fire around opposite corners without the risk of exposing his or her entire body. Switching hands under fire in the heat of battle wasn’t an option. So gun makers once again sought the solution to a widespread problem.
Twenty-four years later, in 2001, a new idea had sprung. Fabrique Nationale de Herstal from Belgium, unveiled their FN F2000 assault rifle. It used the standard 5.56x45mm NATO bullet, and solved the not-being-able-to-shoot-in-a-certain-direction problem with an ingenious invention. A unique shell ejection system that ejects spent casings from the front of the rifle, to the right, through a tube that runs alongside the barrel. This solved the problem of not being able to shoot around corners, as troops could now switch hands while shooting. The F2000 also had an integrated sight, which allowed for precision aiming even without having to mount an aftermarket optic. Theoretically, FNH had created the perfect weapon. Many countries and leaders, most notably Muammar Gadaffi of Libya, took immediate interest in the rifle.
But for many countries, including the United States, bullpup was not the way to go. Soldiers found it difficult to adapt to the radical new trigger layout, so advanced contemporary designs had to be developed. Fabrique Nationale de Herstal once again answered their call of duty and their American branch, FNH USA, began development of the Mk.16 and Mk.17 Special Operations Forces Combat Assault Rifle, or SCAR. The Mk.16 was designated SCAR-L, for the lighter 5.56 round it fired, as the Mk.17 was christened SCAR-H for its heavier round. Hence, the ‘L’ in SCAR-L stood for ‘light’ and the ‘H’ in SCAR-H for ‘heavy’. The SCAR rifles are not based on any previous weapons, unlike the P90 submachine gun based F2000, and they were built up completely from scratch. But it should be noted that it uses a rotating bolt similar to that of an FN MINIMI or M249 machine gun. This bolt system is less sensitive to dust particles, and therefore less prone to jamming than the M16. This fixes one of the most famous flaws of the American rifle. Another reason the SCAR system was superior to the M16 and the rest of the AR-15 family was that it was ergonomic. The SCAR had a stock that could be folded, cutting the length of the weapon by at least ten six inches. This is extremely useful in close quarters combat, which is one of the situations which having a meter long M16 is a strong disadvantage. Having brought up the M16, however, one may wonder, “than what of the AK-47?”
From the point of view from an everyday American citizen, the military technology of the Russian Federation is much behind that of the Western World. None of that is true. In 1994, The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs adopted the AN-94 “Abakan” assault rifle as a replacement for the AK-74, which was the mainstay of the army at the time. As the AK-47 stood for Avtomat Kalashnikov, model of 1947, the AN-94 stood for Avtomat Nikonov, model of 1994. Avtomat was the Russian word for ‘rifle’, ‘Nikonov’ for its designer, Gennady Nikonov. The AN-94 used the 5.45x39mm bullet as used in the AK-74, and featured a new switch in its selective firing, the two-round burst, in addition to its semi-auto and fully-auto capabilities. Most other rifles that use burst fire, such as the M16, fire bursts of three rounds, but the two-round burst of the “Abakan” are fired at a very high rate, and a skilled user can make a single hole with both rounds at 100 meters. Another interesting feature of the AN is that it has its bayonet lug mounted on the right side of the muzzle. This allows a grenade launcher to be mounted and used at the same time as the bayonet, which couldn’t be done on a Kalashnikov rifle. But like every other weapon, the AN-94 has its Achilles heel. More expensive to produce than the AK-74, and with its complex internal workings, it was less user-friendly than either the AK or the M16, and has so far only been issued to elite forces of the Russian Army.
What should we draw from all this? What type of rifle should militaries pursue? Contemporary or bullpup? What type of round? Is it the 5.56, or 7.62, or even 5.45? Side mounted ejection ports or front-end spitters? Albert Einstein had said, “So long are there men, there will be wars.” And so long are there wars, there will be guns. With today’s rapidly advancing technology, what seems to be cutting edge one day may be obsolete the next. The quest for the perfect weapon will never be completed, as the only blessing to war is the imperfectness weapons are. The day we see a weapon that can do anything, be it firing anti-tank rockets with tremendous range, to knocking down an enemy foot soldier through his Kevlar with great accuracy, is the day humanity will falter. We must think above ourselves. What are weapons designed to do? What is their purpose? Why is it…that what seems to be a perfect weapon on paper turns out to have so many flaws in reality?

jesus fucking chris apparently GI changed their PayPal policy and my PayPal with two legitimate credit cards, my phone numbers, address, social security number and fucking date of birth aren't good enough BECAUSE IT ISN'T VERIFIED.
haven't had this fucking problem in 3 years but all of the sudden it's a thing.
reading a "stupid family" thread on /k/
My family has always been anti-gun and none of them have ever owned guns. I'm gonna start the fucking trend now. I'm gay so I'm probably going to either not marry or adopt, but god dammit, I'm gonna be the best fucking uncle out there.
I gotta stay in shape, buy loads of fucking guns, get a sick house innawoods, and train my nieces and nephews proper gun handling. If any of them even THINK of pawning my shit when I die, I'm gonna slap the shit out of them/haunt the fuck out of them. I want at least one of my guns to become an heirloom.
My nieces and nephews WILL be posting on future /k/, and they WILL start a goddamn thread about how fucking awesome I am.
That, or they end up to not be interested in guns. Fuck it, might have to adopt and condition one my own.
TRAPPED IN THE RAGE CAGE
So I finally got rid of my broken KWA Mac 11, a sling, a silencer, and like two crappy MOLLE pouches for a modded ECHO1 G36K!!!!! Problems already with the G36K: most of the rail has been cut between the front and rear sight, except for a small bit in front of the rear sight to accommodate a small red dot. There is no front sling mount, the selector switch on the left side is gone and has a cap or something on it to hide the absence of it, and the selector itself doesn't click into place really at all. One last thing: I turned the hop up all the way off and with AE .2 bbs the bbs still curve waaaay up. Any ideas or quick fixes for these already prevalent problems?

wow man, i was hoping you would get it fixed and charge a higher price

My tech tried everything to fix it, and sending it to KWA or ASGI would cost like $50 plus parts, and that would eliminate my profit margin. Besides, this gun is a big step up from a Mac 11.
Uhh.. I guess today's shooting trip belongs in daily life as well. So shooting today was great! There were three families there and probably 30 guns between the 3 of us and we shot for 5 hours straight. My only issue was that the heat was 105F the entire time. The guns laying out in the heat burned my hands really bad, and my hands are cut up as well from loading magazines for everybody. I myself shot the SKS and did a bayonet charge, a lot of AR-15s (pics on everything later), a Mak90 (spelling?), a Valmet, some sigs, a 1911, a Ruger Vaquero, a Ruger Mark 4 pistol, a S&W 38 6 inch and .357 snub, a .22 single action, a .22 snub, a .22 single action magnum, a couple different 10/22s, our M1 Garand, Mosin Nagant, our brand new .44 Magnum lever action rifle, Remington 870, Benelli M2, a Hi-standard Double Nine, and a couple other oddballs. I brought the "new" Enfield and it had major issues. I bought PPU .303 and it simply wouldn't chamber a round. The bolt and barrel simply wouldn't cooperate with the bullets, and the last thing I wanted to do was force anything on it. I just now got back from being at a city council meeting for 6 straight hours. I'm tired and my shoulder hurts

Yeah. He's not familiar with GBBs if I recall correctly, or maybe it was the design, and he didn't have any spare internals he could just swap out or anything. His specialty for years has been G3s and G36 variants so I'm set with the Echo-1
Hopefully I'll get to see you use it on the 25th!

I'll just give you those two midcaps because I'm not hurting for cash anymore.
