"theft of US property" way to over exaggerate... -.-
It's nap time class! go to sleep congress
This entire meeting makes me want to commit suicide.
How about we declare the internet an international and uncensorable entity.
This makes me wonder. What about avatars on the Internet?
This is nerve racking
Wait wait wait, it's not over? :smithicide:
No, I think they're bumping the House vote to tomorrow. Then the House and Senate bitch about it for a little bit, they both pass it sometime next week, and our spineless president signs it by next Friday. And Monday Youtube, Megaupload, TPB, FileServe, Rapidshare, etc cease to exist.

the morons!
No different to any other image on the internet.
That's such bullshit.
In my mind "Stealing" is when you take a tangible object away from someone else. IE: Johnny has one apple. Kelly stole Johnny's apple. Now Kelly has one apple and Johnny has no apples. Pirating content is incredibly different; one reason being no sales are lost because people who pirate, pirate goods they normally wouldn't purchase. and it is not within by definition of stealing. IE: Johnny has one apple. Kelly "stole" Johnny's apple. Now they both have one apple?
Whats the amendment that just got approved?
I like how the only way these people manage to get a majority vote for something is to insult the person they debating with to make them look like an ass.
This is nerve racking
It's like watching a train wreck but instead of trains we're watching the fate of a country.
Fuck they're all shitty speakers. [editline]16th December 2011[/editline] At any rate, off to the nuclear shit-storm bunker.
I'm just going to repost this; This is how fucked we are.
These people need to think about the implications of their actions. If this passes, Google is done. This is supposed to help business owners, but it's just hurting them. Think of all the things businesses use that Google offers - Adsense, Gmail, Android, etc. Our gov't is fucked up and our country is fucked over.
It's like watching a train wreck but instead of trains we're watching the fate of a country.
More then just the one country...

Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Yahoo. They'll all move to Europe and we'll rise and shine.
If the fuckers were on the internet for more than 5 seconds, they'd understand why this is bull shit.

Which originally was only made to make sure the product has time to distribute through the country before you can copy it, so the original creator has a fair chance without fearing rip-offs. By now however, we got copyright trolls that want the copyright times to be as long as possible to be able to sue people for as long as possible. It's not about the creatives. It's about the corporations and the middlemen that platforms like YouTube are systematically taking out. They fear the internet. That's why they want control so badly.
mr watt is fucking annoying
