this year, i have ap us history, ap english literature and composition, and ap chemistry with ib world geography SL coming up as well.
Make sure the school you're going to actually has an environmental science class. I didn't get credit for that one despite making a 5, because there wasn't a corresponding class at either university I've been to.
In my experience, AP Environmental is a BS class. That's why everyone at my school takes it... to have a BS class.
Ironically, the class at our school is SO chock full of homework that it's a much harder class than AP Physics or AP Biology ever was or has been, though both the latter classes require more actual smarts.
Taking the AP World History exam on May 17. This is the first year an AP class is being offered to sophomores, so my class' scores will determine if the school will offer AP classes to sophomores in the future.
Yeah, it isn't looking too hopeful so far. Anyone have real-life tips for taking AP (World History) exams?
lmfao APs are a joke
Taking AP computer science and AP Physics C this year
took AP English Language and Composition (got kicked out of the class after 1 quarter), got a 5. Took APUSH (didn't take the class) got a 4. took AP Chem, easy 5, took AP Calc BC, got a 5 despite getting Cs in the course.
If I may, this thread gave me an idea for a Mass Debate thread on the subject. May I refer you there?
The topic is: should there be a penalty for wrong answers on such exams as this?

I took both English tests at the same time, without taking the course because they're almost the same test. Made 5s on both.
I also drew an awesome picture on the front of the packet that I wanted back, but since they sent them to our teachers, I had to pick a random one and then go explain to them that I wasn't in their class, I just wanted my drawing back. :v:
I'm taking AP Chem next year, but I'm a genius so it should be a breeze
Ap Compsci A baby!
If you want a nice study sheet i may be able to scan it and give it to you. it's quite a handy tool.
and chem, latin, euro.
I'd love one
I got credit for 7 classes with AP tests. I kind of wish I hadn't now, because they all would have been easy classes that would have been a nice GPA boost.
Really? You spent $80 to get out of $1000 or more in tuition and you would have spent an entire semester on a useless class. I got credit for 6 classes and now instead of having to take 17 credit hours every semester and be tired and stressed I can take 14 and can get better grades in those classes since there's less to worry about.
AP English Language and Composition, AP Statistics and AP Calculus AB. Worst decision of my life to take two AP math courses in one year.
AP Chem this Monday. Oh boy this should be fun.

Hell, in my school, the science exams (chemistry, biology, physics, Environmental Science), the two English exams, and the two math exams are paid for by the school, and a passing grade nets you $100 for each exam on that list.
Fucking AP Chem
Fucking AP US History
Fucking AP English
Fucking AP 20 credit hours of college courses.
...wait.
Wooo, AP Chem represent.
I got the highest score on it when I took it 2 years back.
And AP History.
AP History can go suck a dick though.
Are AP Exams like A-Levels in the UK?
I was making an A in college comp 102 then didn't have enough sources on my research paper which flunked the whole class.
How do you like that.
I'm taking the AP US History exam next Friday.

exactly, AP English is a fucking joke.
got ap euro history exam coming up on the 11th. Best of luck fellows.
I'm gonna be taking AP Calculus AB next year, tell me how fun the exam is!
Next week for three days consecutive, I have to sit in a hot cafeteria for three hours each day taking my AP Calculus AB, AP Literature, then AP US History. I'm feeling good about history, not so much for lit or calc. Ew
[editline]3rd May 2012[/editline]
For any of those three AP tests to count at the University of Michigan, I need to get a 4. Even then, it only gives a general credit. On a good note, I only had to pay $15 for each test because I'm poor.
AP art, oh fuck some bubble sheets for contact information :v:
AP Statistics and AP European History here. Probably going to score in the 4-5 range on both.
Are AP Exams like A-Levels in the UK?
Not exactly. AP exams only allow you to get credit-hours for a college class. The ACT + SAT are probably the closest to A-Levels.
I'm so glad I took AP tests in high school, I came into college as a sophomore

I'm doing the same thing. Gonna end up with about 12 AP Classes by the end of Senior year.
APUSH test on the 11th
AP Music Theory
AP Physics B
AP English Language and Composition
Music Theory is going to be so hard. Sight singing and melodic dictation are not fun.
Physics class is fun, I'll get at least a 4 I bet.
English: 2 hours, 3 essays. :suicide:
