English and History next week oh boyy
I'll be entering college with 53 hours of credit, assuming I get the scores I need. This year (Junior): -AP Computer Science A -AP English Language and Composition -AP U.S. Government and Politics -AP U.S. History Sophomore year: -AP Biology (Scored a 4) -AP Environmental Science (Scored a 4) -AP World History (Scored a 4) Freshman year: -AP Human Geography (Scored a 3) Next Year: -AP Statistics -AP Microeconomics -AP Macroeconomics -AP Psychology -AP English Literature and Composition (Depends on my Lang score this year, 4 or 5 and I won't take this)
I loved AP Chemistry. I had a great teacher who really knew his shit, and I love chemistry in general. I ended up with 102% in the class and (even though I only got 3 hours of sleep the night before) a 5 on the test. Chemistry, it speaks to me!
AP Biology. I have to vent here when I feel like taking this class has been a waste of my time. We just reviewed today and nobody in my class of 26 students did great at all, if anything, we all did horrible. What's worse is that I'm taking this test in two weeks. It's the worst feeling in the world when your parents are paying 100$ for a test you know your only to get 1/5 for.
Last year I took AP Euro and got a 3. I'm taking AP Music Theory and Environmental this year, hoping to get a 4 or 5 on both of them. Next year I'm taking Calc BC and Physics B.
Never took AP. Wish I did... I was just too scared. I'm stupid for thinking that now.
Never took AP. Wish I did... I was just too scared. I'm stupid for thinking that now.
Honestly, AP courses are a joke. They aren't much harder than regular classes and the exams are easy to pass.
Music Theory English Language U.S History Environmental Science Im so stressed its not even funny. Music Theory was by far the hardest class ive taken but im the best in my class at it. My biggest concern is English. Of all my classes, im most concerned about apes. Though, im confident im going to get at least a 3 so im hoping to get at least one 4
My US history teacher is a good teacher My English teacher is a joke of a teacher My Chemisty teacher is TOO good of a teacher, it's hard to follow her I really hope I get at least a 3 on one of them lol
Last year I took the APUSH test and got an easy 5, but I'm not taking the test for either AP class I'm in right now. I'm a junior and I'll forget all the calc I learned before I get to college. Additionally, I've heard it's really hard to succeed in calc 2 if you did the first one in high school. I'm also taking APCS without taking the test because the schools I'm applying to don't take it for credit. However, my teachers gave out practice tests and I got 5s on both. On a less braggartly and more discussionary note, I really like the format of the AP exams because the problems are sometimes difficult but you get a long time to work (my Achilles heel is short timed tests). Also, AP classes are really nice because they're totally relaxed after the test is done. Good luck to you people who are taking tests.
Have a AP Macroeconomics test soon. I've been doing well in the class and heres hoping i get a at least a 4 on it!
Are AP Exams like A-Levels in the UK?
I think those are admissions tests so it would be more like the ACT, SAT, and SAT subject tests. These just let you get out of gen eds at pretty much any college. If you score high enough they'll just give you the credit hours as transfer credit.
AP Psych Monday. fuck.
AP exams are easy. Once you've done a few you realize they're not that bad. I got a 3 or better on 9/9 of them when I was in high school. Mostly I just don't see how people even go to college with the college prep classes, they're terrible. Nothing gets done and few if anyone even learns anything. So they get a bunch of A's in classes that are basically middle school level and traipse on off to a college where they have to retake everything for the first 2-3 years.
I don't have AP exams this year on account that I'm a freshman, but next year I'm taking AP US Hist 1 and an AP Java course. I would be taking AP Physics C but I'm taking a break from physics for a year to go take a Chem class.
I took AP Psych and Gov freshman year, got 5s on both. Psych is really pretty easy and Gov is almost common sense. I'm slightly more worried about Bio this year because there's just so much goddamn information, but Euro and Lit shouldn't be too bad.
This year I'm taking 6: Chemistry Calculus AB Macroeconomics English Literature US Government European History This is going to be a fucking draining two weeks. Last year I took 3: Physics B (scored a 4) English Language (scored a 5... somehow) US History (scored a 4) Aaaand sophomore year I took World History and scored a 4. Again I don't fathom how, considering my terrible teacher for that class. So yeah, so far I've done pretty damn well, hopefully it'll continue. However, it doesn't really matter, as I got a full tuition scholarship at UTD, but it would still be nice to skip most of the freshman classes. Oh yeah, put the schedule in the OP -> http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/ap/cal/cal2.html

Motherfuckers how do you all get 5's? What are your secrets
Taking the Euro, Latin, and English tests next week. I'm looking at probably a 3-4 for English, a 4-5 for Euro, and a respectable 2 for Latin.
AP US. I'm gonna do minimal effort for the 1 point GPA boost
all of you are making me feel bad for not doing well on my ap exams.
turns out for physics mechanics c you only need a 22/35 on the multiple choice, a 10/15 on two of the open responses, and a 0/15 on the third open response, and you can get a 5 on the practice test I got a 30/35 on the mc, a 12/15, 14/15, and 15/15 im set
Ha, I remember these...
I don't have to take any until... next year! :D
Advice from a College Freshman in Engineering: Take as many AP credits as you can and get as many 5's as you can, because APs are piss fucking easy compared to all college entry level courses.

To get a 1/5 is a TREMENDOUS failure, one on the level that it must take effort for someone with half a brain to screw up so bad.
Ap world history, as my school only offers that, so you take it whether you like it or not, but at least if i pass i can get out of a college history course. I think it's the most difficult, but the most interesting history class i have ever taken.
AP World History on the Seventeenth; lots of AP World History students here.
I got AP Psych, US History, Bio and Comp.... Pretty sure I'm gonna fail Bio... :(
