You need eye protection, often full seal, and if you want mouth protection too, a properly modified and reinforced gas mask does both while still looking cool. I've taken to using a respirator, simply because it protects my teeth but also vectors my breath out, while a shemagh would direct it up into my goggles.
Occasionally I wear my shemagh as a cape, and charge towards the enemy line with a foam sword and a USP compact.
I should really photograph my loadouts more often as well as keep them in convenient locations. I'll have my history up sometime tonight but only if i can find my Merida loadout pic.

I'm afraid i have no pics of my loadouts prior to August 2011. Although i basically just wore my M81 bare until i got that Condor 7 pocket rig and then threw that on, occasionally wearing my UCP instead. I primarily used my CYMA M14(I cannot stand mine, but other say it's alright so i don't say anything) as my JG M16A2 did not work still.

An attempt at a cheap Loner Stalker loadout. Tan jacket, jeans, Wellco Desert Combat Boots, Graveyard gun JG M16A2(When i first got it, it was actually an alright gun, surprisingly accurate, but the body was eew and i couldn't get the gearbox together when i took it apart to clean it, and so 2 gearboxes and a grip later and i have a somewhat working gun), a bunch of midcaps borrowed from Deathmog, and i didn't bring it with me but a WE 1911. Here i use a shitty paintball mask but only because i was under the age limit for goggles. I normally would use a set of Flakjak goggles. I also have an M56 belt with a single 5.56 pouch.

A slight update to my 80's US Infantry loadout, wearing a used ALICE set(that i was stoopid with and set way too high in the front, but i had just got it and hadn't completely figured it all out), my usual CAP M81 set, USGI combat boots, a replica MICH 2000(i know its not correct but w/e) and my JG M16A2. I normally use a OD and black shemagh but i only was taking this picture because i had just gotten back from CAP.

A completely new style, mostly going for what worked the best for me, a sort of a high-speed low-drag contractor thing but going completely cheap. Using just a black jacket, jeans, and the same Wellco boots(not in this pic, but when i actually played i used them, i didn't feel like getting them on at the time). I used and still use my G&G F2000, which is great for indoor play for it's short barrel length and adjustable FPS, but is not so great outdoors. Using a motorcycle parts hat, Flakjak goggles still, and the same ALICE rig, now adjusted to the right fit. I also was wearing a cut-up set of Fox motorcycle gloves. I wasn't wearing it in this shoot but i also had a Condor Medium Assault pack for carrying my shit during the op this was for, Op. Revelations II. This loadout is one of my favorites, super comfortable, super light, super manageable. I still wore my 80's Infantry loadout though, but still with the F2000.

My current loadout, at least, until i get the ApSci one done in a few weeks. Using a thick black jacket, with sewn on Combine Elite patches. Still wearing ALICE, MICH 2000, jeans, Flakjak goggles, and Wellco desert boots. Still using G&G F2000. More or less this is just an update to the contractor loadout.

This one is the best. The helmet just kinds makes you look a little goofy. Also, can you take a picture of you wearing your rig? It looks like it isnt adjusted right.
Ossum, I think your 80s infantry loadout would look better and more period accurate with a PASGT helmet w/ Woodland cover and some SWD goggles. Maybe a Medium ALICE pack too.
I've never worn a MICH so I'm not completely sure, but it seems slightly oddly tilted forward.
It could just be me though

I know. I just can't get one though, i've got priorities and a PASGT is not one of them.

I wear my MICH mostly because the chin strap holds my shemagh in place better. And i checked, my ALICE is adjusted correctly, i'm just a beanpole and it's a little too big :v: Also i'm gonna ditch the MICH for every loadout except for my ApSci one, which i'm spray painting white, so it CAN'T work for anything else. So it's to a hat for me.

Yeah, it kinda is, but i think it's just the pit in the helmet is too small, the only way it really "fits" is if i take out all the pads.

Basically, i've told you all what i'm going for for ApSci, but it's a white BDU set with a black plate carrier and the MICH spray-painted white. For my 80's loadout i'll be switching to a M81 Field cap, for my high-speed low-drag i'll most likely have the same everything but replace the ALICE with the carrier and the helmet with....something. I was thinking the hat but with the goggles it looks kinda derpy, as i found. Maybe a beanie? I dunno, i'm taking suggestions for that one. I was worried for a sec that the Aperture Labs patch on the vest would look odd with the Combine Elite patch but it's my personal loadout so i don't really care.

I got my replica PASGT for $10, so it shouldn't put a dent in your cashola too much.

i paid 20 euros for my PASGT replica and 10 euros for the helmet cover :c i wish i had bought a MICH 2000

I don't think i could make enough to coat the whole thing, and even then it wouldn't be white, it'd be some clear off-white thing, and it'd be sticky and start to stink after a week.
