Most of my time in middle school was spent playing Madness Interactive, and all the modded versions. Also Thing Thing Arena was the shit.

I miss playing those seemingly endless amounts of versions of Madness :frown:
That game makes me feel so old. I remember when it was released. It was Christmas break and I spent that week locked in my room. I can't believe that guy continually updated it after that for three years. Apparently the guy died in a car crash. There's no conclusive evidence but considering he dropped off the grid afterwards and there's been no word from him since, plus some corroborating news articles about it around the same week, there's some heavy implications.
good news is that there's apparently a pretty active modding community for SDT. they even made different positions and stuff super deepthroat guy will always live on in our hearts

Good video, but I don't get his point at the end of "indie games are all corporate now" when he had zero really backing to his argument. The glitches and bugs makes it a truly fun experience.
I spent hours and hours convinced that there was a secret room or level or something I hadn't found (mostly behind that door in the room with the alligators in the water).
tanks hell yeah
Redlight Rumble anyone? God I miss Shockwave and Miniclip... fun times.
I had miniclip's IP address memorised because the school filter only blocked hostnames.
I played the shit out of motherload but was never able to get very far since I was always playing it in one of my classes and there was never enough time to get very far.
Anyone even remember games that used shockwave? That used to be the first thing I'd install before I discovered Newgrounds and flash games.
my favorite was that winnie the pooh flash game that /v/ got super into because we got this image:
One of the best things about Flash was that it ran on almost anything, so it was great for playing games in school.
I had miniclip's IP address memorised because the school filter only blocked hostnames.
fuck miniclip, freeonlinegames.com, addicting games, not doppler and newgrounds are god tier
Frank's Adventure was certainly an eye opener for me
fuck miniclip, freeonlinegames.com, addicting games, not doppler and newgrounds are god tier
It's all about Armor Games
Those were the days.. Just about any computer you could find could run flash games so at school, home, friends house, your aunts house you could always punch in some Flash games portal site like Newgrounds or miniclip and you had hours of fun with many different games
I'm like 85% sure Mount&Blade actually took some inspiration from that "Feudalism" flash game
[T]http://www.capsulecomputers.com.au/wp-content/uploads/fancy-pants-adventure-screenshot-1.jpg[/T] So good as a kid. I remember in IT class we used to use websites that re-hosted flashes but designed the site such that it would look like a normal explorer window so teachers couldn't tell right away you were on them. Many fond memories of playing flash games. Even after all this time my friends and I will have a Monster's Den (1/2) series night every now and again—we've wasted far too much time on those games. :v:

The third-person exploration game was called Lego Backlot, I think.

It bugs me that Angry Birds is as popular as it is when it's based on Crush The Castle.
