• How important were flash games?

For those that used to play the Madness Interactive games, the dude that did these animation based off the madness series also worked on a game called Project Nexus, which is available on Newgrounds. The second game, Project Nexus 2, is still in development as early access. Really nice to see that a flash game from 2002 hasn't been forgotten.

Following up on my last comment, there was also a Sonny 2 with a sequel hook that went nowhere. I checked up on the dev and he got cancer shortly after but over the past 3 years has made a reboot, except its a mobile game..

I waited years for Sonny 3 and now out of nowhere it has gotten a fuckin' reboot on a device I don't own. From what I've read, the story's the same. Eh, I might as well don't bother with it for now...
fuck i just remembered when armorgames was still games of gondor, ahhhh nostalgiaaa
[t]https://i.ytimg.com/vi/Smvuwv4SuQ4/maxresdefault.jpg[/t]
could've swore this game was more high res textured
fuck i just remembered when armorgames was still games of gondor, ahhhh nostalgiaaa
I was so confused and sad when that happened. I thought Games of Gondor died.
that's what memory does to you my friend, you remember things looking so much better
Legit the most fun game on newgrounds imo
Man in the video this popped up as he said 'simpler', but this has to be one of the most fleshed out and content rich endless survival games on the internet. Upgrades, tons of different enemy types, and a codex with entries for all of them for whatever reason.I spent hours trying to unlock everything, getting all the upgrades, trying to figure out which setup would get me the furthest. Alas, though i think i encountered the queen like three times total, I never managed to kill it.
Most of my time in middle school was spent playing Madness Interactive, and all the modded versions. Also Thing Thing Arena was the shit.
I just thought of the Madness series the other day and couldn't remember the name. I ended up finding it and having a huge nostalgia rush as I watch through them. Those flash movies inspired me to animate back in the day with Pivot, and they make me want to get back into Flash animation again. [editline]17th January 2017[/editline] Oh and Candystand minigolf is the best game out there hands down

And apparently their games are lost media now?! Looking at the LMWiki page for it, several games I played that had that engine were found, but not Pringles Pony Express and most of their Disney stuff. And Toonami: Trapped in Hyperspace. That's unfortunate... This makes me wonder if there is an archive of old Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon and Disney games stashed away somewhere, akin to the Lego/Bionicle archive.
Nicktropolis reminds me a lot of Virtual Magic Kingdom. I'm fairly sure it was flash. You went around, collected furniture, decorated your themed houses, and played cool flash games (unless you had dial-up like me). That game was the bomb.
gooood dammit i wasn't going to join in this thread but VMK made me who I am today. it was the only thing that helped me be more positive in life, because blah blah blah bullied and video games helped me blah blah i felt like i could escape there and feel like i'm among friends. and it's Java but who cares lol.

i remember dragging the macromedia shockwave loading bar around in habbo hotel in like 2004 and all the lego games and playing franks adventure with the pc in the living room with my parents and suddenly getting a screenful of titties. that robot car multiplayer game on miniclip was fun too

I'm trying to remember this game I loved. It was top down shooting with a plane, moving in all four directions. There was also a spinoff where you played as an armoured train.
